It does look "good",either way. But "GREAT",with the caps! I think it gives it a more finished look. Chrome will really step it up too!

 

I like the caps look. And the overall car, very nice job. Very clean.

I opened this thread thinking it was just another Mike Ness wanna be that painted his wheels red. I'm pleasantly surprised!

But with CAPS! It´s a Kustom, not some old farm truck - it needs these finishing touches.

I like the idea that you are gonna leave it silver and flake the roof purple!!

Man, car looks sweet. Rookie question here...I just bought a 52 chevy. Has horrible rims and tires on it. Seems like most guys are running the steel riims and tires. What size rims and tires are yours? Gonna put airbags on mine, and would like the tires inside the wheel wells enough to clear all the way to the ground. Thanks.

 

im running 14" rims and mine is bagged. i didnt have to cut out my rear fenderwells either. they just barely rubbed so I put a small bump stop in my notch.. problem solved! how low the rear is in the picture, i can drive that low.. the fronts a different story.. it lays on the trans crossmember.. working on a small bumpstop for the front now...I dont have any front fenderwells yet either.. pm me if you have any other questions and I'll try to help

 

Naw, im not going to do the one piece... I kept the chrome strip down the middle of the hood and it goes well with the chrome separating the windsheild...

 

You have my vote on that one. I like the two piece windshield, sort of keeps things centered, but that's just me.

 

Exactly.... scallops get pinstriped this weekend.....then off with the bumpers to get chromed!

I vote for the caps also. Sweat ride ya got there. I like the red bullet reflectors on the tail lights. Where did they come from?

Hahaha! I was coming back from Upland getting the car pinstriped!

 

well it is real paint without the clear! just basecoat...i just have some body work issues to work out still, then its getting painted the same way, but with clear next time!

they are just tiny bullet lenses that i got from the truck stop store for big rigs!

Keep the new paint layout when you do the finished paint job, the car looks very cool, great stance and the hub caps look excellent. Very cool indeed!
