To much! Driving around here is fuckin nuts and I lived here my whole life. But, it has made me a very good driver. But these days I just let ALL the assholes pass me by, cause I aint gonna have a wreck cause some fucker wants my spot. Favorite thing...jamming some asshole on the parkway trying to pass me on the right in his european POS and watching him do 100 to pass me and get nailed by a Trooper. Makes my day. Most insane spot...Holland Tunnel approach from Jersey City, I dare ya to figure that out. Best to you all out there in the open spaces. Slim

That place sucks! The truck and enclosed trailer was nearly hijacked with a rod in it back in '02. The only thing that saved me was my S&W. New York is a sh*t hole and should be sunk in the Atlantic. And yes, I can say that, I lived there for 37 years. A lot of the people are nice, but the rest of that place leaves a lot to be desired.

the guy who said dmv sucks is right , bought a car in long island had the forms filled out , i live near syracuse 5-6 hours away, so i took everything i needed but insurance cards, here we call the ins company then fax to the dmv office , not down there after 2 hours of running back and forth to different supervisors i finally got one to accept a fax to there office , guess it is against there policy , they wanted me to drive to some plaza to a fax store, lucky i found them let alone find thiss mall and get back , so i get the fax , the papers i have filled out are not right ?? they have diff forms?? back in line 45 min, fill them out back to the window , now 31/2 hours now they want me to pay the full tax on the book value of the car !! why do you think i dove 6 hours for the car , great deal on it now they want the tax for 13000 , screw that , walked over to my son said lets go , were are the plates? he asks , i answer at home , got in the car no plates or tags 5 hours later in my driveway with the car , best thing never saw one cop or trooper all the way home

Driving in either one NY or NJ will separate the men from the boys. But you better be paying attention because the roads suck. Like already said pot holes will fuck you up.

I think Florida is not far beyond either one of these two. When I go down there it is just as bad

I get down to the city several times a year. I had to go to Kennedy Airport a couple weeks ago and I left that to a retired NYPD cop to get us there. He knows the other streets to get around traffic and boy is there traffic even on a Sunday. We do a car show down in Manhatten every year at the Old Slip.

I lived in NYC for a while and loved driving in it... except for Manhatten. My ex and I used to leave that for the cabbies. If you're in Manhatten and get bored, take a cab ANYWHERE. It's a blast. Better than any amusement park I ever went to.

The dump truck I can understand it has suspension for the roads but your hot rod probably will suffer the dreaded Pot Holes...................lol........hell my sister and brother in law live in Staten Island and I hate to drive my F150 or Expedition down there to visit because it really is hell on the vehicles. I never seen such roads and I live upstate and have traveled through many miles of seasonal roads that are better than what you have to deal with on a daily basis...........:D

  24. Stop............
the Island is a cake walk........... take my 35 there all the time NJ turnpike ...Gothels Bridge... or Bayonne bridge,,,,, SI expressway ...Richmond Blvd..... Highland Blvd.....easy ride

The Bronx may have the worst roads out of all of the five boros, but Manhattan is coming in a close second lately.

  27. Waa waa I drive in the boros everyday it sucks and I am trying to get the hell outta here. I have been driving here 20 years. Everyday is an adventure. That's what's so much fun. And when is there traffic I only see it when those redneck tourist come to town in those big trucks.
But what I don't understand can those rednecks read when the sign says
NO TRUCKS ON PARKWAYS do they think that means everybody else but them.
And another thing wouldn't you love to drag race your buddy through a tunnel with only inches between your tire and his or drive through the tunnel in 2nd gear with open headers there's no better sound in the world. And yes its great to drag race through the city at everylight come on already.
Ok to satisfy yourself with the cabbies here's what you do they always drive in the left lane til there exit comes up than they shoot across 3 lanes to get off there exit. Well you pick a cab with people inside and or luggage and pace them so when they try to shoot across they miss there exit its most satisfing to piss haagee off.
    Well any more complaints hahaha
Oh by the way I am a garbologist(that means garbage man for those who don't understand) in the city every night.

Pfffttt... you guys are wusses. I've driven Manhattan, The Bronx, Queens with cars on the hook of a wrecker. Down the Cross Bronx Expressway, mid-town Manhattan, the GW bridge in the rain, all fun shit. I had to change a flat once on the Kosciuszko bridge in the rain.

Manhattan can be a blast around 5:00 AM. I once drove down Central Park West at 60 mph catching the lights all the way to 59th street. I've also gotten the truck home with NYC yellow cab stripes down the side.

And you have to KNOW which DMV offices are rodder friendly. Some will give you the ultimate hassle, others you can cruise through. Knowing what you need to bring is essential.

Thats what I'm talking about. Use to ride my rigid panhead from Newark NJ to Little Italy for pizza, blasting through the tunnel with three or four bikes was loud and mucho fun.

I had great fun taking my '68 Stang over the Brooklyn Bridge, parking by the old Tombs lockup and walking over to China Town to eat. I liked how the exhaust echoed off the buildings especially late at night.
