Here's a rare bird! Only 1135 made & only 5 known to exist! 1941 Chevrolet Coupe PU! They advertised To Buy this PU use it M-Fri as a truck then pull bed out of trunk go on your dates on weekend in a 41 Coupe & on Monday back to work as a PU! I picked this up out of Bonners Ferry ID We are working on getting it back on the road after sitting for 50 yrs! Also a pic of my 38 Sedan Delivery Tks Bill

  8. The short answer is yeah, it's a 500...and yeah, it really moves...It's a '76 engine that's stock with an Edelbrock intake/carb. I'm glad I didn't go any higher numerical rear end ratio (3.25:1 posi) when I went through the 9". It's the same ratio as the Cad it came out of, just pushing around about 1,000 pounds less...burns the tires at 5 mph or 50 mph...sorta light in the ass...

I just picked up a pair of 15x10's and a pair of 285/70 BFG's for the rear, so it should keep the power on the ground a bit more soon:D

My biggest battle has been with the front coil springs. Having a helluva time getting a stiff enough rate. Started out with V6 Mustang II, then V8 Mustang II, now I have a set out of an '86 Mustang 5.0. Those are still too mushy, so I got a freebie set of '94 Mustang Cobra coils...we'll see how they work after I lose a coil...

  9. This is way cool...

  25. What a transformation NITMARE...just went back and looked at your build process...looks great!

FWIW, mine still has the 235/75 front tires on a 5.5" rim, and they rub at full wheel lock during a bump...not too bad though. I just picked up some 15x7's for the front, and will be installing 215/75 tires for a little more clearance. The back will be getting 15x10's with 285/70's in the next couple of weeks...my rear springs must be well-worn, because I did the same process as you did, and mine seems noticeably lower (my pumpkin pokes through the bed floor about 1/2" unloaded):
