I am missing the top of the three door hinges on my model a coupe. My question is if i chop it 3 inches would it be ok to eliminate the top hinge and would everything still be safe and secure? Any input would be appreciated I am asking this to see if i should break down and buy a pair or just eliminate them since money is a bit tight. Thanks again for reading.

even if you chop it,,i would still run the top hinge..but thats just me.

i think it affects the look ..to me it does.

and the added support for the door cant ever be a bad thing..even if you are making them lighter

I chopped my coop 5'' and deleted the top hinges ! This coop has been running hard for nearly 2 years with no problems ! I chopped my 4dr A back in june and kept the top hinges .

Do you have any pictures of your coupe without the top hinge?

I got rid of mine. I actually cut that part out of the door during the chop and cut the A pillars 6" off the top which deleted the hinge. I think it looks great.

My 30 plymouth was chopped'n leaded a long time ago and still dont have a problem without it, even with many years of being wrestled around without a floor

Really like the car and the two hinges look very good on here thanks this makes my decision to buy or not to buy that much harder with seeing great looking cars with and without haha .
