I met Old Gold on here he had a thread "flippin the lid on my packard" that got my attention he turned his 4 door packard into a chopped 2 door so this thread is Old Gold from Damaged Goods customs in Bay City chopping my packard and converting it into a 2 door.

Great work dude. What are you doing with the rear wrap around glass, did you sink the tray down, or are you shaving down the existing glass ?

I'm using another window from a packard 200 you can see the frame in some of the rear shots.

Love it! Is the new front quarter section just part of the old rear door? How bout the door post? The original 4- door post?

Yeah the new rear quarter section in the rear door cut shorter and the center post/b pillar was moved back and welded in. Later the front doors will be stretched to fill the gap.

  13. Looking very nice, will keep an eye on this one.

I love absolutely everything about this. The roofline is going to have a perfect flow with the canted B pillars. There are no early 50's 4 doors that wouldn't benefit from modifications like this. And very beautifully done, too.

Did the extra door pieces come from some donor Packard doors, or are they fabbed, or?

I had some doors that were from a 52 2 door Packard but the doors on the 4 door were in alot better shape so we cut strips out of one of the 2 doors and exstended the original doors on the car.
