Hello! I just signed up on here today. First Post.
My Dad and I are looking at starting a project. He has a 1932 Ford Frame, Original 32 Firewall and 32 Shell. We want to run a Y block engine along with a stock hood. We want to run a stock Y Block Fan Blade (Not Eclectic) Old School all the way.
My Questions are:
Does the firewall need to be cut? If so how deep would the recesed area need to be?
Does anybody have any pictures of this combination that they could please post?
Can a 32 firewall be flipped 180 front to back to make more clearance in the engine compartment?
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Yes the firewall needs to be cut. It needs an arch cut out of it that will fit the bell-housing because a Y block needs to be set back till the distributor almost touches the firewall If you plan on using a mechanical fan they are a long engine. But one of the nicest looking you can have once dressed up

Not a great picture but you can get an idea about how far the firewall is recessed. Is this old school enough for you?:D Be sure to get the truck exhast manifolds.

Hu... Sitting here watching football with Miller and browsing the HAMB. He's about 17 months old. I type this about 20 seconds after he said the word "hot rod" for the first time. He did it while pointing at the black '32 above. How bout that? I love my kids.

Ryan. My son will turn 21 (years) in two weeks. I can remember carrying him around at car shows when he was about your son's age. The reason I mention this is that he got a ride in that same black hot rod above a few weeks ago and he's still talking about it.
