    thanx guys :)

i belive the chop is around 3-3½ somewhere, leaned back windshield to fill the gap of the chop..

on my cheek? ohh i belive it might be this, yeah what a weekend it was :)
or monday afternoond actually. but it was fun :D

kinda fun to read my first input on this car in the first post in this thread, some things are not going to stay the same, probally going to have some orange/tangerine faded candy on the car, and will run an 1934 grille, bought a brand new bob drake, but it will also run an alternative grille occationally, ahwell, the road is long and things usually change along the way depending on what parts show up here and there,
and how often isnt vision in ones head not so suited in real life when tried for real, anyhow i did buy an supercharger intake and an old weiand equppied gmc 671 supercharger and an 6 intake blower top, so might run that instead of the hilborn, or get an 4 port hilborn blower top, would be nice to run that.. any ways i'll keep posting along the way in this thread...

one thing is for sure, it will be an coupe i will be VERY proud of owning :)

    cheers daemon

That workspace looks as sano as a butcher's shop. The chop looks awesome, looking forward to see more of it!

Nice progress and I also like the chop. It's cool to see several 33/34 builds going on here.

You sure have a WAAY COOL project going ..
Sure helps to have guys like Lars Hüber around when bodywork is needed :)

( btw .. www.vintageeng.com reproduces those Magnesium 15/4 5-spokes you mentioned earlier in this thread )

That car is really not coming out good at all. You should just give it to me and start over.

That's no fire breathing dragon but it's still pretty ssssscary. :) You're paint idea sounds pretty sweet by the way and I would definitely run a blower. Just check out the cover of Popular Hot Rodding October 1962, though I bet you've already seen it.

pretty soon there will be updates, YES! thanx for asking :)
in the next few weeks new doorskins from walden speedshop will be installed
also bought an roof inlay, not 100% sure yet if i should have the roof filled or use it as an removable filler and also have plexi roof sometimes..

any thoughts?, i'm leaning to just fill it completly though..

hard to have an time schedule but in the next few months i belive alot will happen... ihope to have new pics in 2-3 weeks or something like that. atleast of the engine that will go into the car...

  14. You might consider filling it then applying a vinyl overlay to give the nostalgic look of the original, without the problems.

I wouldn't weld in the top insert. Then it will be like the millions of plastic coupes.

Great choice in parts ! I'd go with the E&J's, love them. If I could find some I'd put them on all my rides ! My favorite is also the 33-34 coupe. Now I just gotta figure out how to let go of 5 of my cars:eek:. I know some people who would be happy to see them gone...

  20. Very nice stuff! I like the chop - not too much, but still comp-coupe looking. I'd not fill the roof, why make people wonder if it is fiberglass or not . . . keep it looking real steel! (I'm going to leave the insert on my 34 five window as well - for the same reason).

The car is really coming along! What engine/trans and running gear are you headed toward?

    Thanx everyone :)

the car will run an olds 394 hilborn injected engine and turbo clutch tranny, early 9" rear end, 16x11" american magnesium rear wheels and 15x4" american mags in front (only got a pair of spindle mounts right now, will try to locate 15x4" in 5.5" bolt pattern , hopefully vintage eng can help me with that..)

i hope i can have some mock up pics with everything on the car in a well, hard to tell but maybe in 2-3 months from now i can mock up the car and double check all fittings (everything is already mocked up but still wanna be 100% sure about everything)... chrome bill going to be HUGE, going to chrome rear end,ladderbars.. rear spring, front spring rear backing plates and drums, front drums, (backing plats already chromed, 1941 lincoln!), front axle, hair pins, draglink, steering box, steering collumn, chevy dual brake/clutch ... chrome pedal arms, i also want to run an chromed cage in the car... chrome rear hinges.

and of course what ever colour i'm going to put on the car will be well planned and alot of effort put into that aswell.. probally some candy paint...

ahwell some ideas will change on the way, and so on, :)

I ended up making a removeable roof panel for my 33 5 window that attaches to the original structure. I have sealed it in, but I'm able to take it out if I change my mind. I can send you a couple pics if it helps. Your car is looking great by the way!
