Not saying they should not work there butts off to pay for the damage and then some. Not out of daddy's pocket either, make'em work for it. You are right, actions have consequenses, but I applaude 41hemi's wanting to try to make something positive out of the situation. I respect that.

I say we STOMP 'em... then we TATTOO 'em... then we HANG 'em... and then we KILL 'em.

Were you guys all extras in the biker bar scene of Pee Wee's Big adventure?

Really sorry about your car. I hope you get the glass and everythign else worked out, and good luck finding the kids.

Perhaps you should go back and re-read my post. Let me sum it up for you. I want these vandals found, tried, found guilty, convicted, fined and jailed as required acording to the law and their age. After that,it could be a learning experience for them.

Then we can cross your kids of the list of those who need to be beaten and have their nuts cut off

I have 2 kids, and niether of them has ever vandalized anyones personal property.

41HEMI...Hope this all goes well for you.Keep us updated on the outcome.

I suppose it's not very Christian, or Politically Correct, or whatever you want to call it, but I'm a little hesitant to recommend you have them work on your stuff.
Maybe some anonymous community service is okay, but giving them the chance to screw with your ride again is a bad idea. If caught, these little shits will be resentful. They won't be freckle-faced, Norman Rockwell, "really sorry, Mister".
And if you do have them help with the repairs, make sure it's not at your house... unless it's fireproof.
When Wally or the Beav broke out a window, Ward made them work it off. But then, Wally and the Beav weren't parented by television and taught by video games.

Good for you for being a nice guy. I wish I weren't so cynical, but then, I didn't just wake up this way.

I'm really hoping you are kidding. While it's true who ever did this needs to be punished, this is not the way. Crap like mob justice only leads to more problems.

By the way. It may not have been kids. Adults do some stupid shit too.

41hemi. If they are from the Golf Course Community, then I know what you are dealing with. I grew up around the Velvet Valley / Greenspring Valley kids (Rich side of Pikesville) who's parrents gave them everything but attention and love. They were for the most part arrogant, unhappy, destructive jerks who never appreciated or respected a working man's property. I hope you get through this all OK.

It was sarcasm. I was actually making fun of everyone's need to piggyback another "get 'em" post onto this thread. Ever seen Pee Wee's Big Adventure?

man hope u get some peace out of this that sucks, some.. kids these days have no respect...

  15. When you get to fixing it, make sure you clean out all the vent tubes for the heat/air system. Remove them, and blow out. You'll probably have to take the dash all apart.

Nothing like getting a face full of glass when you turn on the heat.

    Add that into the price..
As well as removing the interior to clean up the glass splinters.

I hope you get the shit heads, keep on it, and make them pay.

ruiner had good advice - local tv stations may go with that "if it bleeds it leads" - violence on a classic car will be something that would be "good" video........

you know - in the TMZ type way -where they keep showing the same 4 seconds over and over

they are juvies, they won't do shit except slap them on the wrist. They could have stolen the car,set it on fire, and they wouldn't have had anything done. The justice in this country sucks. I had both rear vent quarter windows broken out of my old import, didn't steal anything, little shits broke them for fun, only came on one year and one body style, had a hell of a time tracking them down. I hate punks!! kids that used to live across the street were playing golf with a golf club and rocks, saw them break out the front windows on my porch, cops said if THEY didn't see it,they couldn't do anything. Good luck on your glass, I feel your pain.

it's true, they usually get turned over to the parents, who usually could care less what they've done, and they might get a few hours of community service. The law today seems to want to treat them like babies,no matter what they have done.

That sucks man, sorry to hear that. I feel for you today...

To me it's not about the money, it's the point.

The pussies need to pay for their actions. I say go after the parents, the kids will get it in the end from them if they are any type of parents at all. Sadly they proly wont.

And someone said something about "What if it was your kid that did the damage??"

Then I would feel I did a bad job as a parent.

My kid would regret the day they did that for the rest of their lives. I would, and could not defend my kid for doing something like this to someone else. I would make my kid make it right w/the owner, and hope that is what will happen.

Looks like more than glass looks like they got the vent channels and mabey the door frames?? The side glass is cheap but.... man makes me sick....

people who do shit like that should be caned. it is effective. those little punks would think twice about F-ing with other peoples shit if they got their asses opened up with a cane - remember that rich douche nozzle that got caned in singapore for graffiti?

that opens you up...most people can only handle three strokes without passing out. then you need a month to recover. so you can take the other 3 strokes.

    Horrible.
My father has a 60 pontiac convertible that he had it painted in this super deep pearl blue... they rolled it out right after it was painted to see it in the sun, and while they weren't paying attention some kids passing by keyed both sides it for no apparent reason...

Glad to hear they were caught on tape. DEFINITELY let us know when justice gets served.

  24. Honestly I don't understand the law anymore. Shit like this goes on, cops do little or nothing, people steal your car or break into your house, cops do little or nothing, but I hear on the news last night the cops in .. I think Utah, I don't care enough to google the story back up... anyways, they have time to track down and arrest some kids who tried to "rap" their order at the McDonalds drive-through. Disorderly conduct or something. Apparently all crime in Utah has been solved and the criminals have moved on to other states.

Caning would stop a lot of this shit, I agree with who posted that. I had a car utterly destroyed and have had others vandalized in the past and it's hard to describe the anger I felt. Makes me want to find these kids homes and go in their bedrooms and smash all their shit, their TV, their video games, their Ipod, and so on.

  25. I can only say what others have said, so sorry to see what happened to your car. Hope they catch the little shits and make them pay.

Our whole society has way too much liberal feel good BS, instead of real punishment that will actually make people learn a lesson. I can only hope you get your car fixed and the kids get some kind of punishment.

I never can understand why someone would have no respect for another's property.

So if I kill someone and the cops don't see it they can't do anything?
FWIW you could go to district court and file a criminal complaint yourself, if the MF dirtbag donut eating cops are too lazy to do it.

  30. I'm glad you have taken the higher road on your attitude. That says a lot about you. I must relate a story though. A friend of mine owns a junkyard full of old cars, about 20+ years ago some kids came in to "look" for some parts, he didn't escort everyone at that time. When he went to check on the kids they were having a good time breaking windsheilds out of cars. He yelled at them to stop, then walked back to the front of the yard and smashed out the glass, headlights, taillights, etc... out of their car then threw them out. Maybe you should stop by and work on their mommys BMW. Probably not that will just get you put in jail. Maybe they could "work" off their dept at the golf course, I remember when I was greenskeeper the hours were super early, teens like to sleep in, and there was never a shortage of crappy jobs that the FNG's could do.
