i build my car the way i want , not the way some dink who has an opinion about how everyones ride should be built wants it. If you want it as low as it will go with out smashing off every bump in the road you have to go with an adjustable suspension. ya thats gay to not ruin your car just driving it on the street, grow up. Just my 2 cents build for you not everyone else
If youve ever had a bagged car, you KNOW its definitely NOT gay. whats better than being able to go in ANY parking lot you want and over every speed bump you see, and then putting your car ON THE GROUND at a show. YOU sir, are gay!
Luckily I have good eyes, being that I'm only 29,and I read every bit of that article, and it's pretty informative and well worth the read.I wish i could remember the HAMB'er that first posted it. I'd like to give him most of the credit for providing proof of what I've been saying for a long time, air ride has been around for a loooong time. If anyone wants to argue that, look at how long they have used it on big rigs, military vehicles, etc.
Damn! You guys were prepared for class! How many people have you ever met that could afford a Cadillac in the fifties? If airride was available in the fifties, how many people could afford that? Nobody that was into customs I'll bet. I was just kidding pretty much, but you guys are serious about your bags. It's almost like you're trying to convince yourselves they're cool, more than anyone else. Ha ha.
Nah,I know there cool, especially when I can pass some jerk that thinks they're gay even though he's the one high centered on a speed bump.
brilliant... so now we have to worry about if the "average" rodder could afford it back in the 50's? i dont suppose they could afford what people spend on a duece these days either, maybe they should be scrapped?
This non traditional bag shit makes me laugh, just remember what the cowboys said "horseless carriages are gay"....
U fuckerz are way too serious bout this shit build it bag it juice it just keep the line in perspective
I made a social group for those of us that have chosen to bag or juice our rides http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=422
I just love how gay this looks!!! makes me want to knit a quilt . And to think since this pic was taken I made it even gay'er and went down another 2 inches in the front. Buzz Bomb
Thank's for the compliment, but I'm just saying if bags are gay.... Then I'm Richard Simmons. Cause bags fucken rule!! for many reasons. Buzz Bomb
Something wrong with bags in the car?......I've seen a lot of nice rides with bags in the car....oh,you mean air bags....never mind. AM radios are traditional, better pull out your nice stereos guys.......wouldn't want to be non-traditional, what you switched out your vacuum wipers?.....oh, oh...that to, I am sure must be gay. Tell me you didn't use something other than lacquer paint...oh, oh. I need to get a rule book on gay.....is that sold at Barnes and Noble? It is so hard to please everyone, I just don't know how I am going to do it.....oh...guess what?...I'm not even fucking going to try!.......do the Fuck what you want....now, that is not being gay!
So a 1958 Buick Limited with factory airbags was gay when new? Like he said - you guys are morons. I was a teenager when they came out.
But first we must establish that rainbows existed in the 30's,except that will be tough because it's proven everything was documented in black and white, haha.
This thread is silly, next its going to be migs are gay and tigs are for real men...each of us have projects that hopefully will end up cruzen around catching an eye or two...you traditionalists won't be turnin your head the other way when you see a sled with its ass in the grass and nose in the weeds...you might even say under your breath "that's to f**ken kul...I know I've been there seen it happen...you want to start a real pissen contest, lets bitch about throwin SBC's into a ford now that's sacrilege!!!
Like I said,I created a social group for those of us running bags, lifts(Hydros),or looking for info and general tech sharing of air ride and hydraulics suspensions. Click the link http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=422

I give up. Bags rule. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->__________________ CRASHNBURNS, Heres what I got, you tell me............
Seems the very guys who say bags are gay have something to hide, there most likely closet gays and too shy to make the change to bags. Are you reading this CRASHNBURNS? It have been proven here that air bags are as traditional as cutting and blocking. Cutting and blocks are cheaper then air bags, but air bags give a better ride, and more adjustment. Either way would be the right way it all depends your the money. My car rides on blocks out back and Air Ride Shock Waves on the front and car is far from being gay CRASHNBURNS. Air bags in the front so I can get the front high enough to get into may drive way and then lower it back down. My ride was one of five top customs at the 2009 Cruisin' Nationals and they know a cool ride when they see them. CRUISER
Bottom Feeders - You have a very cool looking '53 Chevy. If, as you say you want it in the weeds, go with the Mustang 2 front, c-notch and air bags around around, it'll set on the ground if that's cool with you. Just remember if it'll go to the ground, it'll also go to the the ground if a bag goes out on you, bump stops are a good thing. Make sure with air bags that you have very good clearance around the bag nothing should ever rub a bag. Bag it and you'll be very happy with the ride and the look. If, my front bags on my Caddy went out I'd drop down to a two inch clearance from the frame, maybe just enough to save my ass. Good luck on your ride and post some photo's after you've lowered that fine Chevy. CRUISER
