I've been looking at the various thread of people's Model A's with pics from different angles. Very cool indeed. One angle I'm haven't seen much of is from the inside looking out (from the driver's point-of-view). There a couple reasons I would like to see these pics. 1. It's getting too cold right now to drive them here in ONT and I would like to have the feeling of being in one. Corny, I know. 2. I would like to see the driver's perspective with different chops, visors, etc. because I'm preparing to chop my '28 Coupe. I've attached one pic that's pretty cool; I think anyway. Thanks
kaamsc, You need to join the Termites and Bowties group- there are more than a few early Chevrolet guys here on the HAMB!
Don't have any pics from driver's seats, but how about some bad ass video's from the passenger seat?! The Austin Mangler. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=219530&highlight=dw+vs+chevy Jimmy White's coupe. http://www.deadendcruisers.com/video...whitevideo.wmv There's a good one that Evel did with Bass, but I can't find it right now.
Here's a couple shots out the windshield of the unchopped (about 1.5 inches lower than a coupe or sedan), slant window (that also means no visor) Victoria that I took this summer in Maine. The first is the new Penobscot bridge. The other is just a wide open view down the road toward the mountains. http://i387.photobucket.com/albums/oo315/pprather/Points East Tour 2009/IMG_1362.jpg http://i387.photobucket.com/albums/oo315/pprather/Points East Tour 2009/IMG_1370.jpg

Here's a shot earlier this year on my way home from a HAMB breakfast about 35 miles away. I think it was twelve degrees out
El Mirage............... taking pictures with your left hand............ trying to shift to 3rd gear............... and driving a piece of History................Priceless. May not be a Model A or forward but worthy of this picture thread.-Weeks
minus who knows what - (no heater, yet) on our way to Breakfast Crusin down the roads in sunny France . .
My truck is a phantom T cab, and I don't know what the chop is but it is down to 8-9" in the center. What I find interesting is that the "A" pillar is so narrow compared to modern cars, that the horizontal panorama remains just wonderful. I feel pretty confident that driving it with the chop will be fun and no big shakes, safety-wise. The low lid would only seem to effect viewing stop lights and, especially so, the practical limits of head room more than anything else. Ya might want to have your seats at hand and test fit yourself before you break the cutting tools out! I don't expect the limited vertical view to be a major problem unless I'm hauling ass on very steep roads! Gary
Uhhh... because I'm driving and being safe! <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/i-naurZBssw&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/i-naurZBssw&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
