I have know about this car was there for a while. Its been slowly sinking into the ground for (I was told) the last 30 years. The family I got it from bought the car to pull the engine and build a farmhand. But be persistant and you reap the benefits. She is now mine. It took a few hours and a huge john deere to rise her from the ground but its now safe and sound at my shop and in surprising good shape. I say good shape considering 30 years in a field as a mouse hotel. amazing the original keys were laying right there on the seat. Everything is there with the exception of the hubcaps. The drivers door and front driverside fender had a run in with a tractor but other then that i'll say thank god for Wyoming and our climate. I post more pictures later as things unfold. We took it to a tire place where I took these pics and a mouse came along for the ride. The tire shop boys brought out their "cheetah" or a giant air tank that releases pressure all at once and sent our furry little buddy flying somewhere near China. Don't worry... He wrote us... says the food is great.
Oh I wanted to add... In those pictures it looks like there is rust in corners around the stainless and things. In fact its just moss. crazy little rust colored moss.
cool find! fender doesn't look too bad and if that door is rust free cut the inner area out for access and try and save door.
Cool find. That's in pretty nice shape. Your tire shop boys need to invest in some jack stands, though. JOE
Nice find. I have a drivers side fender (bottom is rotted) but you can section it with the one you have and make one good one. PM me if your interested. I'll let it go cheap.
Yeah... I feel good about it. He also threw in another 331 that is in a farmhand. so a bonus motor just in case is a pretty cool deal.
dear mr. stutz...i'am a lawyer representing a mr. mouse. i'am intering a class action suit for destruction of 1 household. removing 1 said 54 cadillac, however we can settle this mater for 1 big ass chunk of chees. call me POP...or mouse lawyer!
My first vision of this car is very mild custom. lowered. shaved handles. shave the crests and leave the V's. Crown Royal Purple with a White top and white piped purple leather bucket fronts and bench back seats. First thoughts seem to change with time. But for some reason Purple really stuck in my head.
Yeppers. Literally the same day I was going to go buy that merc, I talked to this other guy and struck a sweet deal. Mores pic soon...
that distinct open windy feeling you get when you see a picture like that... lucky a tornado didnt sweep that merc away
Just imagine a barn find in wyoming. If there where no mice and raccoons those kind of things would be museum quality finds.
