I've been searching this topic about a month now, since I got my 1920 T roadster. I'm so HOOKED! I love the Indy-esque lakes cars of the late 30's through the mid 40's. There are a lot of attributes those cars shared in that era. What's terrible is that I've got a real soft spot for Bugattis now... It's a long distance love affair since I don't ever see myself owning one... unless it comes to me in boxes and milk crates!

I've compiled pretty-much all the parts to build my car but I don't want to start until I get the plan laid out. Since I'm still learning about the technology and style of the era I've been hesitant to jump right in. Having the parts is one thing... putting them to their best use is another.

That issue is on the stands now. It has the Pete and Jakes sedan on the cover.

Pick what you like and go for it. The track T's are really cool and so is the one posted earlier. Best of luck with your project. :)

I'm real partial to Track T's since I am a semi-retired race car driver. Sold my Super Late-model due to the down turn in the economy before it got too bad...and took the money and built a race inspired hot rod. I don't have to waste my weeks fixing everything that got tore up the week before....I still miss racing and hope to get back into it once my son gets a little older.

Im with you on the Bugattis Brent. I love those cars! You should check out Jay Lenos website. He has some really cool Bugatti vids. As far as T's go I really like the look of the Iskendarian T. I think that car is spot on just absolutely perfect! They did a feature on it in Streetrodder a few months back.

Isky's car is pretty legendary... I agree, you can't look at that car and miss that it's all business. For me, though, I like the predecessors to that T.

I'm going to say, "NO!" to looking at Leno's site. I don't want to hear them run or see them drive or perhaps know where they might be stored... hahaha. :D

I was at my local library and picked up a few books about the early days on the dry lakes. Mostly all pre-war stuff and the pics are great. I got a ton of ideas from those books. Thats kinda what got me going with this thread. I think Im going to stick with the grille I have and make a tribute to the early lakes days type of car.

Man, Leno has the best stuff. His Bentleys are ridiculous too! Just give in and check it out, no need to fight it!!hahaha
