  7. Hey Ian how are you finding leading with the hand held torch?. This is the way I will have to do it as well as I don't have an O/A setup. Are you going through alot of bottles? Getting enough heat without any problems? Thanks

The Propane bottles give plenty of heat!! It works GREAT!! I've been using the same half empty bottle for all i've done so far.

I read through the entire chop and all I can say is WOW! If I could do that I would be chopping everything. Cars, trucks, tricycles, you name it. All these years I thought chopping a top was hard. What was I thinking? That chop is awesome.

    I'm starting a new religion!!!
"A little off the top" with Pastor Ian.
This last week I did it! I chopped my 46 Dodge Cab. I'm fitting the doors now and it looks great. I don't think a guy can go wrong if you don't get in a hurry and just study some, (and have great teachers with pics). One thing I noticed is that the tolerances on old cars is outrageous, my cab was over 1/2 inch outta square to start with!!
Anyway,, I'm tickled that I'm doing it and sad that I let fear get in the way all along.

Here He Comes!!! All Hail Pastor Ian!!

Leading by "trial and error"? Doesn't look like very much "error". Keep it up dide, you're on the home stretch.

As stated before, this is an excellant chop with great craftsmanship.

How much was the chop in front versus the rear?

    Thank you man!!

4" front, measured from the bottom of the drip rail 4" , then marked the 4" from there up!

5" back, top of the beltline 5"
