Well, I finally got exhaust run on the Pontiac. Its a small task but a big one for me after all the trouble I have gone threw with this car.I was so excited at the muffler shop the guy doing it thought I was crazy.

Jon's did it. next door to auto zone on Rowlett Rd He did a good job and didnt just throw it on there. He really cared how each bend looked. They hang down in the picture becasue there isnt any hangers on it then. We had to go under the X frame in one spot since the new ****** mount blocked the holes

Cool, I'm super jealous, wish I was hanging exhaust on my 57 Pontiac. Where does it exit? Through the bumper or somewhere else? Bryan

They originally dumped out below the bumper...........however, there is a small oval plate on most bumpers *options options options*, that can be removed if you wanted to run your exhaust out of it, but the oval opening is pretty wide, so you'd have to compensate for the excess width. But I think he went stock......maybe pencils?

Mmm, pencil tips...I never understood why guys throw those huge 3" echo cans on their exhaust tips, my choice for 50's cars is always pencil tips or turndowns...what'd you use for mufflers?...

For everyone's sake, but mostly mine, could you please post a photo of the exhaust tips? Just trying to see what different things look like before I commit to anything on mine.

they look like they stick out further in the pic then they really do. The tips are lined up where the middle part of the bumper is
