The Ford 240 cubic inch six (used in a few large passenger cars during the mid-1960s and some light trucks up into the early 1070s, I think) had 6.795" rods.

The Ford 300 cubic in six (used in quite a few light trucks from about 1965 to 1996) had 6.200" rods.

I don't know about rod lengths for other Ford sixes. There was the Falcon Six that came in 144, 170, 200 and 250 cubic inch sizes, and before those there were other Ford six cylinder engines, too, dating back into at least the 1950s.

  3. Is this correct? I've had one of my machine shops i deal with tell me that the R-RB and 392 used a 2.375" rod journal.

Also that the 392 also used the 1.094" pin.

I use the 1.094" pin in my Top Fuel Pontiac motors as well.

Can anyone verify the big end and small end of a 392 HEMI rod please?

    thank you,
    Steve
