STOLEN in Burbank 24 foot enclosed trailer

Well, I just got a call from Dave Martinez and my 24 foot Haulmark trailer was stolen last night from his lot. He is right across the street from Hollywood hot rods and Old Crow. I haven't heard back from Lucky, but he was going to go check to see if he was hit too.

It is a Black 24 Foot Haulmark and it says GROTE Cerro Gordo, Illinois on all 4 sides of it and had Illinois License plates on it. It is a ****py old trailer. It is faded with hail damage all over it. They could have picked a nicer one to steal, but chose mine. It had a bunch of tools in it spare tires and my show display for the Atomic Punk. Even if they peel the name off of the side, you will still be able to read it since the paint was so faded on it. So if you see it call the Police because it is Stolen...I had a hitch lock on it and all the doors were locked, but apparently that didn't matter....

I don't have a good pic of it, but you can see it to the left in this picture.
It really ****s because I need an enclosed trailer this weekend to take my car to the Mooneyes Christmas show. Johnny and I are flying out there on Thursday and need to figure out how to get it there....I don't really want to drive it down the Freeway in LA traffic.....

From sevral other forums as well, the number of thefts are rising..... Aaron, I'm sorry bro, I hope maybe the distinct characteristics of it will help it to be found quick.

Id say we make a hamb task force to go after these ****ers that think that stealing is a good way to make quick cash.

Dumb question, but could you call the "border crossing" in San Diego to give them a heads up that it is stolen?

Sorry to hear this. At least there was no CAR in the trailer, you can replace your bald spares and HF tools.

 

Tools are expensive as hell.

 

damn, thats ****s . I know how you feel. i had mine stolen, and I found it and stole it back ! funny and long story, so now I have a lowjack type chip so it can be located and 3 locks on the fukr !!!****s to have to go to such lengths to keep your stuff! lets catch some cut their fukin hands and **** off and maybe this **** will slow down.

 

hate to hear that seems like ever day something is getting stolen need to go back to the way they did it back then hunt them down, take them out back and string them up instead today they just get slap on the wrist and the next day out doing it again

Also if you see a bunch of bums wearing Atomic punk shirts, they came from my trailer. There were 2 tubs of them in there.....along with my Mexican wrestling masks and my Roth masks. Damn theives basically stole my toybox....anyone who has seen my trailer knows that they couldn't have really taken one that looked any worse.....

Jeff, it sure makes me glad I live out in the middle of nowhere! ****in' L.A.

Marcy, I may just drive it to the show if I can find some people that want to go over there Friday afternoon. I don't really want to be out on the freeway all by myself...I think there is strength in numbers, especially when driving a car with open headers! I may take you up on that offer though....

 

I can loan you the old Roswell Rod trailer if you drive out you can stop by and get it. lemme know so I can put plates on it.

as a side note;
some one posted here on the HAMB sometime ago that you should paint your plate number on the roof of the trailer so it can be seen from the air. something I don't think a thief would look for. I took this advice and did it to both my rigs.

If you find the dumb **** that stole your trailer, HAMB relay him over to me...I have no job, lots of patience and dull objects, and neighbors that don't ask questions...he might last a week here, if he entertains me...
Best of luck getting your trailer back brother, I'm glad that the Punk wasn't in the trailer, though it ****s that your tools, parts and merchandise were in there...I'm guessing it's sitting somewhere local indoors getting stripped and painted...
