I really like Motors with attitude, real attitude. You know the kind; ones you can just look at and they cry out their mean side.

Here is my #1 choice for a "Motor with Attitude". What's yours?

doesn't have to be lean to make the headers glow on a dyno....

Excuse me I need to clean myself up now! You can close this thread now, because you won't find anything comparable. The SOHC, at least the one in the picture has all the Attitude you would ever need, it screams I mean business. The raw finish on the valve covers, standard hardware store pipe for the breather in the back, a vintage dyno room, damn... all go and no show!

Gotta love the old R&D type stuff..."Yeah, Bob, go ahead and hold her at 6,740 RPM's for 5 hours and we'll see how she does."...hahaha...Chrysler had all kinds of crazy stuff like that in the 50's and 60's, wish I had pics of it...

Keep them coming. The blown SBC is awesome. The Mopar cross ram is awesome and Mr. Littleman, your Sixty-Two is totally sick with attitude.

He is in his 50's im only 25 so one day I may be able to build a beast. he is currently helping my on my drag car and he just built a huge shop and invited me to work with him and use the shop for my design work and cadd work.

I've always liked this one, or many like it. Without the nitro-fueled attitude it ain't bad but...

  29. I just have to comment on the glowing headers , I remember back in the high school days street racing in my 68 camaro one weekend, me and a buddy just got done running and pulled up to the local gas station and of course popped out hoods. This was at night of course but the headers were lighting up the engine bay, everybodies eyes about fell out of thier sockets...Mine too, I was just trying to hide it like I knew they always did that.
And t ocomment on the RD dyno days, when we dyno our race motors for Bonneville we tell the guys to hold it at redline for one minute,...better to blow on the stand than drag it from Texas to Utah and do it there. The first time we did this was our 260ci na SBC, very short stroke, making almost 600 hp at a tic under 10,000rpm..we held it at 9500 for a minute, we were all cringing and squinting our eyes behind the glass....oh but the sound....sorry I ramble...
