Let me try this again! Any reputable license plate dealer... No ebay!!

I need to buy very clean license plates for the chevy and i dont wanna buy from ebay! Any numbers or info would be very appreciated!! I use to have this guys business card from ventura , i even talked with him but i lost the damn number!!

There's actually a pretty good guy who sells at all the big swaps.. Gotten a few DMV cleared sets from him, also a big selection of corner tags (50-51, etc) 1932 and 49-51's are expensive though. I just always knew him as the licence plate guy... helpful yea?

Yep Dave Hindman - www.davesclp.com - has a great selection, some rare plates and is great to deal with. Plates are not cheap but you get what you pays for and if ya gotta have it, ya gotta have it

Apparently if you get a plate in not so great of shape for cheap, you can have duplicates made here and actually run them. I'd check more into that though.

Went to the DMV and the only bump i hit is the fact that my registration for the 51 had been suspended for not having insurance on it!

Si i called Haggerty's and got her insured , full coverage too! The registration will be reinstated by monday, then i'll have the plates transfered. I read a lot of horror stories on YOM plates and there doesn't seem to be any problems at all with the DMV i go to. Glendale, CA.

Im not gonna post a pic of the plates 'til i get them transfered , i wouldnt want somebody making copies and doing something stupid, you know?

I hope you get lucky, but I've always had a hard time getting YOM plates registered at DMV, (I've done it 6 times).

 

I already did all the forms and I swear homie, the lady even called me from the glendale office today at 3 30pm today to tell me to come by monday and see her directly, can you believe that?? Unreal, her name is Angela and she was so cool!! She said bring a pic of your car, i love classic cars from the 50's!!

Well, what happened???

 

It's all squared away!!! The plates are getting transfered as we speak , but there was a delay, i let the registration go on my chevy, i didnt want to pay insurance as it wasnt being driven so they suspended the reg. it's being reinstated !!! then the plates will be transfered.... 45$
