im still looking for any info on who started my car.i herd it was from colarado or indiana.does anyone have any info?im sure nothing was done on the car since it was first started.it had some really nice g*** welds and the funnycar style cage was tig welded{i did add alot more bars though}any info would be great.thanks.
it was from both ...well at two different times....had a pair of bearclaws on it originally (from what i remember) aborted project , never finished. last time i saw it was indy goodguys , 04 i think . might have had steel wheels and pie crust on the rear then. for some reason , mark williams come to mind on this car for some reason. might have to fire up my old computer and look and see if i still have the ebay pics of it from 00/01/02??....also seems like it was built in 68/69
look at that its running an AMC, you need to bring it to the amc meet at national trail early next year.
i was going to go this year but i went to a diff.meet.i think marion,i forget.i would like to go next year.i went to G.A.D. acouple of years ago with my supercharged hornet and had a blast.i think i was at another meet for that one too.
I used to own that car. I bought it on ebay probably in 2000 or 01. I sold it to Guffey a year or 2 later. the guy I got it from was in new york. sorry but I dont know any history on it either. I am glad to see that someone finally finished the car and is having fun with it. it is a cool little car
thanks.how much did you buy it for and how much did you sell it for{if you dont mind me asking}were the front wheels on it?
does anyone have any pics.of cars mark williams built?or does anyone know him?i would like to see if maybe he started to build my car?
No help here but gotta say I dig the ride having owned one in Ohio back in the 70's.It was seriously underpowered but could squeeze lots of miles out of a gallon compared to my 4.56 geared Roadrunner. Yours makes me think I should have kept it...
Is it the same car that was at a lot of nostalgia meets for sale as a roller ? I remember seeing one for sale either Indy Good Guys (early 90's) or maybe the first Bolling Green Hot Rod Reunion. Sorry really no help but I know I seen one for sale, maybe racing junk too.
from what i have found out it has been just a roller FOR EVER!!!i also know it was at thompson g***er in i think 04.maybe 05.i know someone had it in indy.and also md.i got it off the guy in md.and he didnt know anything about it.the only thing he said was the guy who had it{dont know which one}desided to build a dragster instead.thanks everyone out there trying to rack you brains to remember anything about it.also i talked to mark williams and he didnt build or work on it.
yes.he also builds dragster frames and rollcages.and axles.the name was thrown out and i just had to find out so for three days i tryed to get ahold of him.a very nice guy jason talked to him for me and he told me that mark didnt do it.
i just cant believe that more people dont know anything about it.not like its the best car or even kool to most but it is deff.different.thats why i got it.i like to be diff.and not park next to the some kind of car with just diff.wheels.
Sorry, I don't have any info for you either. Looks like you're the guy that's making the history with that cool little car. How cool is that? I wish it were mine. It's one of my favorites here on the HAMB. I like the freaky ****.
thanks alot mac762.i guess maybe in twenty years someone else will be able to find these posts and find out the history of the car.
