Here are a few from the 2008 Ty-Rods show in Massachusetts.

The Crosler has a motor as big as the car itself. The rat rod is just super cool with the huge military shells as part of the exhaust and the cool blue rod had a blown Arden.

  2. I still like The Olds engines... Hemi's... Ardun's... and the Marauder

I saw that Thundebolt (clone I believe) with quad carbs at the Ford Nationals in Carlisle in 2004 and had a nice talk with the owner. At that time he was still sorting out the tuning but the thing was wicked for sure.

345 Desoto ... Unfortunately that V12 SOHC is a PhotoShop engine so I guess it does not really qualify. Real stuff is all that matters.

Hard to argue with the attitude of the SOHC 427, Hemi, or any of the purpose built race engines..Offy, 4 cam Ford, Etc.

    A few more...

  12. Dave, This thing is awesome just to look at, much less see it run! I'd love the chance to do both in person!

Here's my sbc: kinsler stacks, front drive magneto, peterson drysump, brodex heads, crower crank, jesel, about 13:1 w/20% nitro. This little whore makes as much power as most anything here. Who needs exotics when you got a chevy.

The long ram dodge motor is on the November 1959 HotRod magazine, the same one tht featured our Bentas Raven in the centerfold. I have quite a few copies of that magazine as would be expected and this motor has always been on my lists of Motors with Attitude.

The 427 Tunnel Port is more of an unassuming, mean engine, no flash, all go.

The only thing not exotic about this engine is the name.
