That's a T spring. Here's an A... The leaves of a Model A spring do not have the double curves of a T spring. T springs look perfect wrapped around a quick change... Neal
Model T spring..........100% Rudy has to have made a deal with the devil to keep turning out these cars. Just when you think he can't do a better one he tops his last effort. Frank
And the "A" pillar is leaned back,..... I love that look,..... It's like I said in the past, Everything this man does is a study in style and proportion. great looking 3/W .
Jeez, am I the only one?... Love the stance, the rolling stock, the hood and inner fenders, etc. The metal work looks first rate. But to my eye, the chop is too extreme. It would look great on a lakes car- a purpose built, no nonsense, quest for top speed race car. For a road car, I think the windshield rake is too extreme and the side windows too small, kinda disproportionate. Just one man's opinion. Please don't burn my house down...
What strikes me most, is that he obviously started with a near perfect car. And that didnt seem to scare him in the least to chop the hell out of it. Getting a roof that low with that kind of flow isnt easy so say the least. If he chopped it an 1/8th of an inch more it probably wouldnt look good, a half inch less, and it wouldnt look like he did it. Look at the other cars on his website he chopped, none follow any kind of formula. Like the other guy said, he had to have made a deal with the devil. He turns this stuff out with no effort at all. It is ***led on his website as "1934 lakes coupe" with a blown flathead and an original quickchange rear end. That is exactly what it is. Rudy wins again.
Rudy most definitely has an eye and a gift. That chop is stunning. Note to self............... 6 years - kids out of college and I turn 50. gift idea for 50th.......chopped 34.........
I tend to agree with halfdozen. The car looks fantastic but how driveable is it? If you have ever driven a severely chopped coupe for any distance, you know they can be exhausting. Or maybe I'm just getting old.......
eh... i dont like the *** down like that. RTA race coupes only had a slight drop in the *** from a model A spring. your arent too far off though... it was done both ways built, raced, painted and sold in the last few years... not an old build but respects the old aesthetic.... (model A rear crossmember and spring).
Nope. Majority rules at the top...if the first few did not like it...the thread would be different. There seems to be a big split on these extreme chops...you either love it or hate it
