Here's my half finished 4 door POS:

NOTE: Its only got the Keystones on it because the tires on them hold air. I eventually want black rims with baby moons and whitewalls.

My new project....I spent pretty much everything I had in the car budget
to get it bought and then running......so you'll have to bear with me until
I can afford to make it good looking.......

    Lippy, she looks rock solid.

  13. I read a few interesting facts on the tri-fives in a book I have that chronicles the development of the 1955 Chevrolet and the 265...

They interview the engineers that designed the body, chassis and engine.

For instance... they designed all three grilles, '55-6-7 at the same time... the car, during it's development, had a split winshield... The stamped steel rocker, which was just one of the many revolutionary parts of the new Chevy v8 was developed by a Pontiac engineer, they didn't want to pay him to think outside the box, so he developed it in his basement at home.

This is one of the few pics I have remaining to remind me of my '55 convert built in 1960-61. 56 Packard taillights in extended fenders, rolled pan with split Pontiac bumpers....389 Pontiac engine. I'd give a lot to have it back.

    Sorry about the photo quality.

Oh man, I wouldn't change a thing! Okay, a 327/4-speed and a stronger diff but it looks great just like that.
