Cruising returns to Van Nuys Blvd

DUDE, I've seen alot of fog but I've never seen fog roll like that. Are you sure this pic wasn't photoshopped? 4 cars across? Were you really there or was this what a friend told you?

I don't think that's the fog, more likely heat from the exhaust, it was a cold night about 20 degrees. The guys racing were 4 members of the Designators car club, out of Granada Hills. The photos are old and yellowed and were originally shot on copy film.

 

I didnt know they had YOM plates back in the 60's and 70's...

 

Don't forget to bring toys! I went to Target on my way home from work tonight and picked up a whole bunch of stuff...

Light turn out..Fair weather cruisers stayed home..Bunch of Chrys. 300's with funny looking wheels showed up all at once. Girls collecting toys did not collect much, lot of guys just drove right by them. They need to get the word out better next time. One guy in a blown Chev. truck decided to show everyone his muscle, shame thats what ends cruise nights. Interesting two engine rod was there.

 

small turn out yes but it was good. I took a toy and one of the girls was jumping up and down about it. I wasnt sure if that was her reaction everytime or if i was the first and i got to rydell at 6:30

too many jackasses hitting the gas pedal right after leaving the driveway from the lot i dont know if this is gonna be tolerated that much longer.

saw the ridiculous looking 300s and trucks ... funny thing is no one paid attention lol which is all that those peeps are looking for.

alot of new people... yes it was slow but alot of new cars. everyone was able to drive in, park for a bit, drive out cruise, come back and get another spot.

 

Yeah, it wasn't bad. Diehards showed up even though it was freezing ass cold. Even caught a few real men driving their roadsters.

 

Which Vega? The one I'm thinking about (MINE), did hit the gas pedal leaving. Not proud, but I did. Not the 1st time being called a jackass BTW

Been to 2 cruise nights, not sure which months. Saw alot of ol' street racer peeps. Had a good time. Brought the street bike, the hot rod may be a bit much for a cruise scene, i dont think the cops have that much sense of humor?

BTW this is Mary used to have gold chevy 2 nova that cruised and raced back in the day...
