    100k That's quite a few knuckleheads.

Another forum of mine is VWvortex. They're pushing just under 500,000 members. Now that's a big community.

what's the point? if you remove them, nobody else's member number changes. spammer accounts are deleted. that's why there is a difference between our 100,00th member and the 90,000 some current members.
are there some features of the hamb that require you to be logged on to view? maybe that is why some members register. i'm sure there are many who have never logged back on after registering too, but where does the board stand to benefit from deleting their accounts?

You need to be registered and logged to do a search within the forums. Im sure there are a lot of people who use the HAMB as a tool. Find the info they are looking for and never feel the need to actually post.

I wouldn't log in as much as I do but I can't see the new pictures that people post without logging in. I'm here everyday whether I post or not. I kind of like sitting back and lurking.

the 90,553 only takes into account the current members. there's been 9,000+ members who have been deleted, most probably because they were spammers. so when they are taken into account, we had over 100,000 people register for the hamb.
so what everyone is saying, we just had our 100,000th member join.

Guys to see you membership number do the following

Scroll your pointer on your name and just let it sit there.

Look at the bottom of the screen and a bar will pop up along the bottom that says

    http://.jalopyjournal.com/forum/membership.php?u= ( your membership number)

It's there - just look for it.

And by the way Ol' Cob is 282

Holy Crap, I did that after feeling like a real dope because I couldn't see any number popping up. Guess I didn't know enough to look waaaaaaaaaay down at the very bottom of my screen to see what number I was. And there it was, #952! I guess I've been around for a looooong time, both in actuality in the number of years on this planet and in the number of years here on the H.A.M.B.. THanks again Ryan. This site is the BEST!!!

Also what might be throwing off the number count i think is not all members are with us anymore and their accounts become inactive and dropped after a while. Rip to all the members we have lost and we have lost to many the last few years.

I can say I'm in the First 28% club and I still learn daily.

That number doesn't really mean all that much. I don't focus on it that much for a variety of reasons. For one, only 20% of our traffic is even registered.

The number that means the most to me is time spent on the site. Right now, the average user spends 15.45 minutes. This is a really impressive number... Top 4% worldwide.

In the last month, we've had 27 million page views by over 1 million unique users. I don't even know how to comprehend that... but what's really amazing is that we've been able to pay for that traffic without any real help from advertising. Alliance members allow us to do that... And it's an amazing dynamic that no one ever thought we would be able to pull off.

That's neat. I spend 15.4 minutes every 15.4 minutes or so. Hell I have my computer setup in the garage so I can "cheat" while I'm figuring out this stupid car :)
