Hi, I'm wondering if any F100 owners can direct me to a replacement or custom tail light lens for my F100. Looking at the pic I attached, the tail lens look like bullets or domes, not the stock flat ones I'm presently running. Any ideas what other car models or makes have the same round lens? Thanks in advance for the help! -DON-
Hey HR60F100, I asked one of the builders on here what he was running on his '59, here is his reply: "They were '54 Oldsmobile... I grinded the edge of them so they would slide in." So far a couple of people have suggested early 50's Pontiac lens covers were work and another guy said '59 Cadi bullet lens covers too. I have not confirmed anything or seen pictures. Anybody else have anything ideas to put out there? Pictures too? Thanks for the help! -DON- p.s. I'll be posting a '60 F100 chrome grill section with the lights and bezels, let me know if you're interested. I have pics too, just PM me.
Don, that 58 you posted a pic of is a guy i used to be very good friends with and lives less than a mile from me. Those taillights on his truck are off a 56 Chevy believe it or not..
upper star shaped reverse light housing is off a 1965 full size ford galaxie wagon and the lower is 1965 fairlane station wagon. slightly staggered
Don't know if they will fit but what about Corvair lights or 60 Chevy lights? Also have seen 57-58 Dodge lights used. Also check Night Prowlers for some custom bullet tail lights.
It's not that hard to make your own lens. Here's some i made for my T-Bucket. They're generic trailer lights with '60 Impala lens epoxied on.
