Boris told me about a garage crawl this w/e; will your garage be part of that? I bought some VB at the bottle shop, good stuff, that. Already visited Scarborough Beach, Hay St. Mall, Swan River park off Adelaide Tce. All in two days, we don't plan on having moss grow on us. I look forward to seeing all of you. Ted
Get your arse down south to albany, were what wa is really about go to als shop and he;ll make your wallet lighter

Took El C for a bit of a cruise on Saturday morning up to West Coast SRC, checked out Brian French's collection of South African imports (all Chevs though... ) , Phil Pav's workshop, the CRAC House and then down the coast for a bit of a scenic tour. Lots of people out and about and we saw a bunch of cars and met quite a few people, all in the space of a couple of hours. Might head to West Coast again next Saturday for the TAC Inspection where the should be a bunch of cars in the build to check out, plus a few more local hot rodders.
Yeah, it was fun meeting Boris, et al. The Rambler is an awesome car and I really like it, Boris has a tight and bitchin' ride. I finally broke down and had to eat some fast food this weekend as well, we went to Hungry Jack's (Burger King) and I (me being me) had the Aussie Burger. I've never had anything like it. Here are the ingredients: tomato, lettuce, onion, cheese, bacon, beetroot, egg, ketchup and a meat patty. Had to pull over twice and hook up to the jumper cables to restart my heart, but I'll be damned if that wasn't a good burger.
enjoy yourselves, perth hambers are awesome guys. rare32 is a great guy and K.S.K, Labrat, panhead pete (whos off to china in 2 days) fc ute and a few others who made my stay there great.
Sounds like you need an Aussie Barbie, snags, tomato sauce and bread, see how your heart feels after 6 of those and wash it all down with a 6 pack of Melbourne.
G'day El Caballo , Glad to hear your havin a good time ! Dunno how long your here for , but a day trip to Rotto is good for a bender ... uurg .... pppft .... Get some good beer in your belly , go to Little Creature's in Freo ....
Go slow El. Those folks are serious about living. They know how to eat and drink right out of the womb! And if you try to keep up you will surely die. Go slow! Ease in and try to train your way into it. Great food, loads of great drink, good lifestyle, big country, (pretty women folk), great people, real football...crazy sumbitches right there, some kind of real big fish in the water... Ohh and the beaches...grrrrrrrrrrr. Mirrored sunglasses and real heavy cloth trunks suggested. (take some pictures...documenting your travels of course ;D
Get some good beer in your belly , go to Little Creature's in Freo ....[/QUOTE] I spose you have fried onion on your snags too.........fancy pants!!
I heard about Little Creatures at a Christmas party, but only remember that I heard the name. You aren't the first to recommend Rotto either, we can see it from Scarborough. We plan to be here for a while, a year at a minimum, but more likely two + if I get my way.
A couple of years, then I'll send you an invite to join Aussie HAMBers El Caballo. Sidenote: Hay "Sandgropers", is El Caballo Blanco still operating?
My son got his first glimpse of tanned topless hostile projectiles last week on two very nubile twenty-somethings. He's ten and pointed them out to me with some appreciation. Good boy.
Scarily enough, YES! I meant to mention it to El C. Sadly, the old theme song sung to the tune of Bula Paloma Blanco doesn't hit the airwaves any more. LOL
Welcome El,...to our Sun Cun* Burntry...... Or is that sun burnt country ??? You coming East to where the REAL hot rod action is? Sorry Boris.... Rat
Get Boris to take you to a GOOD ol' fashioned fish and chip shop and get a real burger. You won't eat that Hungry Jacks crap after that. Melbourne for the Kustom Nationals? Pete
Sounds fun, have you done any right hand driving yetShifting 3 on a tree takes a while for your left to acclimate.....
Yeah,El Cabs is still going, just a golf course and the odd rodeo and concert. The Horses have been gone for years.
Hi, If you make it up my way into the Pilbara you will know what it will be like if you guys ever build a town in death valley. Try the Redback with lemon. Great stuff.
Good advice, that. Fish and chips will likely be a new experience too. And welcome to the southern hemisphere, where the steering is on the correct side of the car and the cheese is real, not processed.
