Normally I don't post this kind of stuff but MAN, this thing is just too cool! Someone needs this thing! This is not mine! Just saw it, thought it was cool. Maybe even give a few people some ideas for their own projects or something. Looks to be So. Cal. area as well. HAMBer???? OH! Sorry! The item number is: 330386410108 LOTS of pictures there. Neato!
You need that thing Scott! I have been thinking about belly tanks a lot recently. Not in a position to get one, but I am in a position to dream right???? Cool find.
I think this might belong to "docauto", here on the HAMB, based on location and I know he's a lakes guy.
those are cool, If every one drove those I would stand out side just watching as cars went by.. ok quick question, are belly tank's for you guy's just original with belly tanks or is any type fibergl*** original or hand made. Just wondering.
www.olddeadcars.com is his website. Check it out, especially the "other weird stuff" He has some really neat stuff (especially the belly tank)!
Hi Guys, yup it's mine. The economy is giving me a beating and I'm having to part with some of my toys (sold my '29 on '32 rails and my T roadster, this is starting to hurt some....). Thanks Scoot for finding it on the evil site. I appreciate the exposure. Let's hope we all have a great Christmas and a prosperous New Year. We could all use it. Dave
hey dave, if those zephyrs of yours are ever in the way id be happy to come by and remove those ugly things
Pretty neat piece, almost a shame not to use the ch***is for a sprint or modified, and still have the tank...I have a perfect cowl, but unfortunatly, not buying stuff for a while...
You haven't been around here very long have you? Hang around, read, and pay attention, you'll catch on. Frank
I don't think you can be on the HAMB and use a word like "condescension". Now I have seen "condensation" used on here when talking about keeping the engine warm enough to avoid oil sludge.
I would believe that even though a large percentage of us venture there daily and buy and sell there, there is a general opinion that the site and format has contributed to the high cost of vintage parts and possible destruction of a lot of old cars in sellers quests to have parts to sell. That ch***is with the tank has vintage sprint car written all over it.
My original post was more of a comment than a question but I appreciate you and 36tbird trying to answer it in a mature fashion. Lots of people pretend to nose up about eBay but it's a blessing and a curse at the same time. I see a lot of people downing the site and then I see a lot of auction cars and parts sold there ending up on the HAMB as someone's ride or project. Some of the heavy hitters here on the HAMB are running eBay purchases.
Interesting about e-bay. I surprised this thread is still going. When I posted about e-bay the thread got pulled. Good or bad it probably has more influence on Hot Rodding then any other site on the internet. Dave hope this thread keeps going it will give your tank a lot of exposure.
