I love the story in the art myth and leagend book about doin a car different from to the other. dude flipped out. Dutch says something like if you can't see both sides at the same time anyway. Never had to tell anyone to F off .If they start to give me attitude I hand them the brush and say " here you do it then" :D

Jessie james is a homo wanta-be with poor taste, but then again building choppers like he does just makes him the biggest homo at the gay pride parade. Give me a flattie or knuck bobber anyday

But on the subject ken howard might have sometimes been a drunken****hole, but then again a lot of artist are, probably even a disproportionate amount of the serious HAMB rodders are, i know i am sometimes. I think it is just a little part of the personality that HAS to be off to be creative enough to exell at things

Back in '72, as a kid, I lived in Fullerton. We rode everywhere on Schwinn stingrays. We would moto x them out with single seats and motorcycle bars. Dutch had his bus next to an old gas station and would be there sometimes at night. We would sit around and watch him stripe stuff, and he and the old guys would drink beer and talk about the old days. There was a shop next door that did fiberglass repair, and there was always a few cool projects sitting around. Those guys would let us hang out and listen to their stories, and it was all cool. I would never say he was an****hole, if he was, I never saw it...

And how someone can take a thread about Dutch, and turn it into a Jesse is a**** thread, is beyond me...

    jealousy I guess?...

Face it people, all this***** is now main stream. Just go to target or walmart and look around. Skulls, hot rods, pin ups, tattoos. Being a greaser is no longer different. You can't swing a cat at a car show without hitting a weathered hot rod. (Not going to even mention rat rods) I'm so sick of 32 fords I wanna puke. Dirty Donny's art can be seen in*****s sporting goods.

No one's ever happy when what their "in to" shows up at the mall and every****-clown is sporting it. You can thank corporate america for that.

Jesse James is a talented builder, no buts about it. He just got to main stream. Running a flattie is no longer rare either. Why would you even want to for that matter?*****ed then,***** now. Show us what you've built lately.

Here's the good news!!! Who gives a***** what I think. Or what any self-given nick named bad**** thinks. Honestly, I don't give a fuk about Jesse James either.

I do/wear/drive what makes me happy. I sold my custom (which I built) and got a totally stock 59 olds. Love it just as it. Drove a GTI in high school, loved that to.

Von Dutch. I didn't know him, non of you did. So stop acting like reading a book makes you an expert. I can however tell you this..... He will be remembered for the***** he did. Good/Bad. Greaser***** heads that manage to get one pice of***** on the road won't.

    Merry Christmas!

A lot of people think it's cool to hate on anyone who "got big". But they are the same people who would slobber all over these people if they met one on one, no matter what they say here.
George Barris; self-grandiose, but his influence and promotion of the hobby is unsurpassed. Von Dutch, as one poster already mentioned, paved the way for the great stripers today. Jesse James; another guy who has helped bring the industry into the mainstream, and therefore also more product (good and bad) availibility, and more public appreciation of the hard work that goes into hand-built hot rod anything, etc...

sometimes people who do cool things will become popular, then people will have to hate them because they are known to be cool so are no longer cool...

course the majority of people who become cool but are no longer cool to the followers of whats cool were doing what they did long before it was cool and never gave a***** about whether or not they ever would be cool...

it's alot of work being a follower of whats cool, i tell you

  24. The signature doesn't look smaller than the date to me.

really...wow I never really reply to these but bad taste huh....so he never built a flattie or a "bobber" (cause we know bobber only has one meaning and everyone thinks the same on that right???) but back to your great post all of this is coming from someone who states:

P/t Hot rod builder - if Jesse is gay then your a woman

81 Camino (daily w/ '63 283) - oh wow....you*****ing bad****.....
    [/QUOTE]

Well i am friends with a couple boozefighters, if you've probably never heard of that club, go back and read your Outlaw M/c history, and i do own a bobber 45, soon to have one of the baddest street 45 motors buildable (bored, stroked, kr upper, ect)and I built my first harley when i was 12, so yea, i might be 24, but i aint the normal punk kid,***** i even have the first issue of easyriders, back when they had real tech. AND YOU THINK THEME BIKES ARE COOL??

Second, yes i was P/T ing at a street rod shop, and it is one of the best in the county, you ever worked on a car worth a mil and a 1/2?

Lastly yea i drive a 81 el camino, i did win a couple el camino trophy's with it before it got hit and totaled for the 4th time, now it's a work truck. I guess you're just are mad 'cuz your wife made you drive her prius today

Sorry guys i hate to add to the trash talk on here. NOW F'OFF AND LET THIS GET BACK ON TRACK
