After a long wait my patience was rewarded with the purchase of a long awaited 1932 Ford 5-W coupe. I had to pick it up in the middle of a snow storm, but it was now or never. This car was built in the early 70,s and has a few older touches but it is an all steel car with a rumble seat. I cleaned it up a little and put on the headlights for the photos. I will be replacing the WABBIT dash (ugly). I am pretty sure I will be deep sixing the fenders and running boards I love a high boy.

Looks like a good solid car. Not a lot needs to be done to UN-StreetRod it. Personal opinion but for me it will be a sad thing if you take off the fenders. Not every '32 has to be a hi-boy.

Lose the dash and keep the fenders. If it was mine, but it isn't. Good luck with whatever you do. Looks like a sweet project.

Aw **** guys, now you got me thinking about the fenders. The dash is already gone and a new steel repop will be ordered tomorrow at a Holiday Discount price from Drakes. Thanks for the info. Dueceman32. Larry

Nice car...sniff I can't find anything without a Brink's car of cash. I'm setting my mind this coming year to find me a proper HAMB car 1933-37. I have to accommodate some wide-body friends, if you know what I mean. She's beautiful.

Keep the fenders, add a set of non-polished straight spoke Americans. My 2 cents.

    Nice little car. -Abone.

All real, all steel! Sweet ride. Keep the fenders. Burn the dash for heat. I love snowy days, it keeps me in the shop and working! Merry Christmas to the Great White North!

I like the fenders, also!! Good looking car.

The wheels aren't bad at all, but if you are thinking about changing them, how about something like these from Team III??

I go along with this too and I'm jealous as hell cos we never got coupes out here for 32. First coupes were 33's. I'm currently building what you've already got but mine is gl***. Trying hard to make it look like yours already is. Was it Pete Chapouris that said in a TRJ article that fendered cars take heaps more work and yours is all done and looks great.

Oh I'd ditch the smoothies too but that's just me as I hate smoothies.

Congrats on a great car and it was worth the wait.

I'm always the first guy to take off the fenders but 32 five windows look so damn good with fenders...gotta keep 'em.

I also would keep the fenders. :)

Both of my 32's have fenders ... I had the roadster as a Hi-Boy and while they look good, dirt, rocks and water makes a big MESS of a car. You have fenders ... so KEEP THEM :D

On your 5W dash ... decide which style you like the best.

Bob Drake makes them BOTH ways. The top rail can be sticking out or recessed. See the above photos ...

    CONGRATULATIONS
    On a nice all steel 5W ... :D :D :D

Nice ride, but I'm in with LOOSING the fenders.....ok don't loose them but take them off and store them someplace you will always be able to find them!!! I kinda like the looks of the 5 windows with a bobbed rear fender, cycle front fender, and no running boards....but that is just me I guess. Either way, looks like you have a great start to whatever you build out of it!!! Congrats.
