    Hi,
    Car is long gone, sold to a guy in Florida in the mid 90's
    Had a bunch of other hot rods since then.

    Okay guys,

    What food serving locations did cruisers hangout at between the 70s and the 80s on Van Nuys Boulevard. You know, like Burger King, Corky's, Fat Burger, etc.

    Hi Reid,

    Was it Jack in the Box first, then a Bob's Jr., then Arbys?

    Thanks,

  18. Jack in the Box is at it's OG spot, and the Arby's across the side street used to be a Bob's Jr. And I thought a West Castle (White Castle back East) was a hair South of the then Bob's Jr. (between it and Super Shops). That Super Shops was also a hangout on Wednesday nights some time in the 80's for us street racers

    does anyone know of any spots that people cruise in from ...

    Example: people meet at The Plant @ 5:30 and cruise down to the rydell lot.

  20. Low riders at June Ellens Donuts? where was this at? south of 101?

  21. Just South of the 101 on the East side of the "bull". That's where we met in the early 70's. June Ellen's Donuts/Hugh's market parking lot. LOTS of Lowriders

    No Robert, I'm not C&R Clothiers, nor a hot rod fashion guru, coordinator, or expert.

    Art is my game, and just remember my motto: The name is Bash, I aint talking trash, I don't take checks, I just take cash.

    It's far more sinister than that, the art & writing is just a cover for my real ploy, to drain all useful information from your brain until it ceases to function.

    Do you remember that song by Shorty Long, "Function At The Junction"?? Yeah, well, it's the opposite of that!

    Ha Ha Ha Ha! :D:eek::D

    Yep! If you can remember that fact, then you're A-Okay, and your brain hasn't been sucked dry yet.

    The long & the short of it is, most folks get him confused with "Long Tall Shorty", "Big Shorty", or "Hop A Long Shorty", but that's a whole another story.
