My coupe in the works. 49 Merc flathead <table style="width: auto;"><tbody><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; text-align: right;">From Ford Coupe</td></tr></tbody></table>
Cool thread, Chis. The meager beginning.... The first fire... The end result... A frame, stretched then bobbed up front, kicked in back. 8BA, Thickstun, 97s, Mallory, 39 Tranny, 40 rear.
This one: Yep that's mine. Your the second person that has told me they recognize the car on the HAMB.
Yeah, that's the mag. Good side shot on pages 32/33 also. It's also one of the few Y carb manifolds that I've seen. Here's mine. I dig it, nice car man. Pete
will a photo of a flathead separate from my 29 coupe do....they'll be going together in the future. for what its worth i much prefer an A coupe on A rails to an A on a 32 frame, i think the 32frame looks too heavy / out of proportion. still, what do I know? different story on a roadster though....
Jick is doing better than me all I have at the moment is A crusty flathead, Model A axle with wishbones, 29 Cowl and gas tank and banjo rear axle of unknown year. This is a great thread you started Chris. I've got it bookmarked and hope to see a lot more but where are the sedans?
Jay, Single carb or 4X2's, your car is one of my favs. Keep posting pics, there's never a bad angle shot.
Awesome! Exactly what Im working on right now. 30 coupe on "A" rails with a 59AB engine and 39 trans. This post will be a little inspiration in the lovely weather right now.
I'd be interested in seeing what you come up with. I'm putting a '42 Merc 239 in my '29 RPU and am considering fan choices. Bob
