They were such a POS that I seriously doubt that there are any left. I had a 386 inline White engine in a WC22 White truck about 15 years ago and some internal parts like bearings were damm hard to find then. The Geisel stuff is likely to be unobtianum. And by the way I spent most of my working life as a HD truck partsman,so finding odd parts was not a biggy for me. You would do better looking for the big 60* GMC V-8 ,it was 637 CID. And remember these engines will be north of 1200 to 1500 lbs.

I have to agree with John on this one. Being another guy who spent a lot of time behind parts counters in past lives I would think that it is going to be headaches from the get go and outside of finding surplus parts squirreled away in some war surplus outlet parts just aren't going to be obtainable by regular sources and most would probably have to be one offs with a price to go with them. Sometimes trying to impress the mouthbreathers with something totally off the wall isn't the best idea when it comes to making it work.

I know where there is a Roline 805 inch V8 that is (I think) for sale. Pretty cool motor. Sorta heavy.

The kid in San Antonio I sold the 386 to has had good luck finding parts accessing various old truck restorer sites, hes sent me a video of turning it over without a head..He and I pulled that engine AND trans out with yer basic Chinese cherrypicker hoist, we flattened the caster wheels and bowed it pretty good but it held..I think hes just doing this for himself as a challenge and not trying to impress anyone with monster horsepower or low ETs..kinda like that fella with the cool Packard flathead eight on this months Hotrod mag..Me, I like the odd and unusual and would like to just lay eyes on a "Giesel" engine..what I would really like is a Giesel nameplate of some sort..anyone have a "Putzmeister" nameplate off of concrete pumping equipment? I'll buy it from ya....

Rich...a Roline 805 gasoline V/8? wow, what was it used for?...Nelsen, yes he wants to build a 600ci twin turbo White flathead six in a 1937 Studebaker Dictator two-door sedan, He wants to also use the 10-speed trans..A Dictator with White Power..I'm still kicking myself for not then having the funds to buy Locomotives 1100ci. Alum block Ford GAA engine, I wish he would be able to continue work on that GAA powered Mustang hes got....

I bought and sold three of those GAA motors. One with three twos and 16 zoom headers for $3000 the bunch. The Roline was used in 10 ton Army trucks and tank retrivers (lowboys) in 1961-2-3 when I was in the Army. The one I am thinking of I see on the way to El Mirage. It's an old irigation pump that has been converted to electric. It's sitting in a field off of 90th street I think between Ave D and Ave J. Itr;s on a stand about 5 feet off the ground right next to the road. Hard to miss.

I drove a 10 " Dragon Wagon" tank transporter in the Army,I believe it had a 844 cube Roline V-8.Roline made an even larger V-8 near 900 cubic inches.Continental and Scott used to make gas 6 cylinder inlines in the 1000 cubic inch class.
Big heavy lumps that are pretty much useless for any hot rod unless you wanta impress the bystanders.

I recently worked on a Hall-Scott inline six, in a vintage tow-truck from the pre-diesel era. Nine-hundred-ninety-six cubic inches!

It has two spark plugs per cylinder, one on each side of the head because the piston is so big. I can put my head in the cylinder. I can't even imagine what it weighs. It has been working all of its life, and it still runs like a top. The truck needs a serious restoration.

I saw one in the late sixties, when I worked at a Whte dealership in Jersey City. It looked like they converted a Cummins V8 185 to gasoline. It had a Holley carburetor. It might have been a White 9000. Owned by Navajo Freight Lines.
