$9-12K MAYBE. first off i've seen that car a good bit at shows over the last 10 years and it's always had a stupid pricetag on it. it does seem to go a little higher each year it doesn't sell also. my memory could be tricking me but i really want to think it had a 15k or so price on it a coupla years ago before it had that hideous interior.

as said much better starting(aka not gotta undo the ****) 60 can be had for much less money. theres a resto guy around here that does top notch work has had his NICE 60 for sale for a while for around 15k with no takers. eagletucky's car was 10 times cooler that the one your asking about and as said i think sold for less than half what the guy thinks it's worth.

any more than 5k i think you'd be better off taking a p***...ken...

As I figured. You guys backed up all of my concerns. Just to be clear, it was just part of a trade. There was more to the deal. I al ready told him no.

Also, why the offense to "East Coast"? I didn't say it was an insult, just not my style. The car is ugly, no doubt, but ugly and East Coast are not necessarily the same.

Thanks for backing me up guys.

Man, I really wish people would read posts before offering up replies. Kirk doesn't want this car to replace May Cause Dangerous, sheesh. That being said, that Buick does need a LOT of help as others have said. It would certainly give you a headache rather than helping to solve your problem.

The amount of work and time you would have to put into this car to sort it out and clean it up would net better result somewhere else. It has broken **** all over it and too many periods of custom hodge podge . It's a really expensive parts car . I think the 12-15 estimates are far to high. None of you guys would keep that interior combo. C'mon , be real about this. I would like to see this work for you but your talking about a trade to a guy who wouldn't get what he was getting. The ford would have curb scratchers in a week. Would ya trade honda choppers for a knucklehead custom. Dude ! Really . Not bustin your balls here but ..o.k. I am . Are you losin it man? g'luck .

I like Buicks and I really like 59'-'60 Buicks, but man... that thing needs some help. Good choice Kirk.

"Just say no" The potential buyers for a 60' Buick are limited, and then they want their own interpetation of what it should look like anyway. More h***le, and trouble then it is worth. I would put a price of $9,000 to $10,500 on the Buick, and if it sold I would feel grateful.

Good decision to walk away from this deal. If the owner seriously thought it was worth $25k, then you would never get close enough together to make a deal anyway.
Everything about that car is wrong - except the engine. Wow that would look nice in a roadster.

I think you made the right choice, man. I'd rather have a 60 Buick myself but it's not on line with your car or a big interest car for resale.

Not to go to far off here but there is alot of press lately tagging poor quality stuff as East Coast as if we didn't have the exact same equipment available and none of it is historically accurate. Sure there are regional differences of what was popular. For instance most survivors here have a heavy race influence being the higher then average number of tracks and speed shops per distance. I used to think everyone had a handful of tracks to pick from....Heavy section, light to none chopped cars can also be traced to an East Coast tag but you could see one from any western state if you do some digging. Like anything it can taken the wrong way or seen differently through other eyes.

    colors dont match BAD choice!
every thing ive seen that had to do with trading for the starliner you would have to put cash in so were are you ahead?
GET THE HOT ROD GOING AND SIT ON THE STAR LINER !
    imo
unless your getting alot of CASH in a trade SIT ON THE STARLINER until the market turns around !
NO car is worth anthing unless someone is willing to pay for it!
whats it worth is over rated!
have the starliner APRAZED (300 bucks) then i think you see threw diferant eyes
everthing ive seen so far dont burn a candel to the starline
