Lead East sucks! Not trying to start shit...but its a true "gold-chain" event! Sorry, $10 bucks for spectator parking then $20 for spectators to get in WTF?!?!?! $150 to show your car?? F that...not my kind of gig. I hope Mel does Motor Speedway again, that was a good time! Real hot rods, drag races, live music and booze! AWESOME!

Since Big Olds will be in California in Sept I am going to attend the Primer Nats Labor Day weekend. Question for you though...is what 6pack to go stated true?? $150 to enter your car for the weekend??

It's killing me not to be able to attend at the GREAT new location BUT BilletProof Detroit was scheduled on the same weekend as the Jalopy Showdown in York Springs PA and there is no way in hell I would ever give it up.

  9. Being in the midwest and not being able to travel too far out of Cleveland b/c of job and kids I would say The Spinout in Talmadge Ohio. For some reason I am most excited about that show for this coming summer. Next would be the Gasser reunion in Thompson Ohio...

So many I'd like to get to, but I doubt we'll make it anywhere this year. :(
One event I haven't seen posted yet is MSRA's Back to the 50's. That's one of my favorites!

Not sure I'll be making more then the first two since I have a baby on the way and due in July. Bonneville would have definitely been on the list as it's life altering but the baby comes first and I am not sure that I am going to want to pick up and go a couple weeks after he/she arrives!

Here's my to do list so far:

Autorama - Detroit, MI - Feb 26-28 - Anniversary trip with the wife (her idea)

Rust Revival - Wayland, MO - May 21-22

    Good Guys - Indy - June 11-13

Belltown Bash - Bellflower, IL - June 19

Symco Shakedown - Symco, WI - Aug 13-14 (hopefully)

The Hamb Drags- Joplin, MO - Aug 21?

Hunnert Car Pileup - Morris, IL - Oct 9

Gotta do the Lone Star Round Up and some others like the Jalopy Showdown next year. Jesse will need 100 hours of wheel time to get his license, so the little Chevy will be seein' some more miles.

Cool, that looks like an awesome show. It depends which way you play it. Last year I worked it out to pay nothing. If you decide to come, I'll get ya hooked up. Ask BobK about it, he came this year and had a blast!

In Arizona, I am again Hosting the 8th annual Nostalgic Show & Go! at Speedworld Dragstrip on Sunday April 11. If you are coming from out of town, there is also drags on Friday and Saturday night for match racing and test n tune.

Vintage car show, swap, vendors, drags, exhibitions including a front motor Top Fuel best of 3 match race. Come experience the high percentage loads on nitro as the worlds only blown nitro iron '59 Pontiac takes on the all alum blown, injected chev rat motor of Vince Karstetter in side by side 200 mph action!

Also a best of 3 A/FX AWB injected match race and more coming.

There will also be Hot Wheels and a model contest and display of vintage model boxes. Plus vintage bicycles on display including my own 1969 5 speed Apple Krate.

Also on display will be the only known existing Mickey Thompson HEMI Pontiac engine. There will also be a Mickey Thompson HEMI Ford engine there too! Is does not get any rarer or more exotic than that.

You can also stay overnight at the track for no extra fees or there are motels nearby. It'll be a good time again.

Nobody mentioned Fall Hershey or San Diego Big 3. I know the collection is gone, but will there be a gathering and swap at the Nick Alexander warehouse ???

  21. Since the only thing I have done in moderation is make money!!, my choices are very limited. The most prized event to me is the Lone Star Roundup, but a long way to go. So I am down to what I think is really $ possible. So here is my wish list. Worl-o-Wheels in Omaha---Some of the homies are talkin about going to Cool Stuffs new Tourque-Fest---KKOA in Salina-----Roadburners Gretna Days Car Show, that this year will feature more live music, bigger art show, same great Roadburners Tiki Grille Food---special feature cars---tons of cool Roadburner stylin trophys---easier registration---looks like Sunday July 18th.---H.A.M.B. Drags---Greaserama---if I can pull this off I will be a happy camper!! So many great cool events to choose from as this part of our sport has grown like the tons of newbies and revived oldies are into the mix!! ~Sololobo~
