Hey, does anyone know what is available for 48-52 Ford F1 patch panels? specifically if anything is available out there for rear fenders? I ordered some 8'' tall repair rear panels for my front fenders, but I didnt know if anything else is available. I know there is repro cab corners too.

Or does someone got some good metal they want to sell?

If not i guess I can make my own panels.

I don't ever remember seeing anything for the rears. Maybe try ebay for some you can use or make panels out of.

No one I know of carries the patch panels for the rear fenders. Northern Classic Trucks, www.northernclassictrucks.com, sells panels for the floors a bottom halves for the '48-50, but not for the '51-52. Classic Haulers, a new part of Mid-Fifties, www.classic-haulers.com sells the same parts and a lot of other non-sheetmetal parts for '48-52 trucks.

No one is making 48-52 steel rear Fenders or patch panels. Only Fibercrap out on the market. Check Bob's F100's out. They have a pretty good supply of NOS and salvage stuff.

Might try www.Fordtruckenthusiast.com..go to the 48-60 old truck forums and then look thru the classifieds..look for "Reamer", he reproduces alot of patch/repair panels..also some good old Ford truck info on that site.Good Luck!

Reamer only makes the rear patch panels for the F-2 and larger truck fenders. He also makes the door bottoms and cab corners whick will work on all '48-52s. He's very limited on what he makes but the FTE members who have bought from him seem very satisfied with his parts.

Fenders for the Ford trucks, especially the F-1 parts are gold. They are extremely hard to find in decent shape. The larger F-2 and up fenders are a little easier to find because they were used on a lot more trucks and can be used on the F-1s but have wider wheel openings. You can live with the wider openings, they don't look all that bad, or you could close the wheel opening with a curved piece of rod and some sheet metal, I've seen a few guys do this.

Thats what I thought too. Till I tried to sell a solid rear pair off a 48 two years ago. Got them off a box we bought. They had some dents but none that could'nt be fixed. Had 'em on ebay (re-listed 3 times) and craigslist (2 months) for sale. I was askin $150 for the pair. I got no bids on ebay, 1 call from a guy off craigslist who never showed up to look at them. They were in the way in the shop and I just wanted them gone!! Ended up givin 'em to a guy at work who was doin a 48 just so we could quit trippin over 'em.

Since there is no body line like you would see at the bottom of a model A it doesn't look like it would be too hard to make. I'm planning to make my own for my truck.
