    Mooresville NC member here!

Speaking of which- I hold a 'open shop night' at my speed shop on tuesdays at 6pm- rain or shine. Plenty of bench racing, but toolboxes and a space are always open for whatever............and the labor clock is off!
would love to see some of you locals roll in!

  3. Unfortunately I will not be able to make Open house at the Wilmington shop. :( My wagon or 66 F100 will not be ready. I went to start up the 68 Lincoln and get it ready to take but it is having electrical problems now!!! Out of all the vehicles I have, not a single one is ready. They all dont run right now and one runs but front end is taken off (that is the wagon). Maybe in about 2 months I will have the money. Times are hard right now and money is VERY tight or should I say in the negatives for me.

RIMS ON THE RIVER SHOW, in historic Wilmington NC downtown.
    SAT APRIL 18TH

    see info on below site.

SAKOWSKI MOTORS will be presenting a Best Traditional Hot Rod or Custom Award.
This is pretty cool show in historic downtown Wilmington, NC. Not far from Wrightsville Beach. There are all kinds of classics, but the organizer and I are working on building a old school section of the show. Next year should be pretty sweet, but this year is a last minute start for the traditional push, but the show is established and a great show with plenty to do.
There is really no show I am aware of on the East Coast like the old Paso Robles Show that we all loved.
Wilmington is in the middle of the coast, and is in a cool old town like Paso, except there is much more to do in the Wilmington Downtown.

    So here, it goes.
    Wil Sakowski.
there are some pics of downtown Wilmington at the top of my shop tour.
    www.sakowskimotors.com

We will be set up between front street and 2nd street on princess st.
Look for the Sakowski Motors Lakester.

If you come from out of town, a great place to stay is www.blockade-runner.com in Wrightsville Beach.

This is a great show to bring the family or your wife and let her go shopping etc..... or to the beach.

I have started working for a pharma company in Holly Springs. New company part of the building is still be constructed. I live in Smithfield. So I have about a hour drive home in the afternoon.
I have noticed quite a few old cars riding around Fuquay Varina. Model As and such. I swear I saw a late 20s chevy in the mix. Now granted these are stockers that I have been seeing. But its still strange for me to see that many old cars in any given time and not be parade related.

Does anyone live in that area or know about it. Vintage restorers sometimes have parts cars. You see my point?
