Sedans are a great ride and provide lots of comfort if you are tall and wide. Forget real, FG, Brookville and think about the car you want and go for it. Bragging rights are for people who don't know what else to talk about. Here are some of each. Which ones are real and who cares except the DMV.

Have you ever owned a ROADSTER ??

Roadsters are a LOT like motorcycles, fun in decent, pretty weather but a real downer when the weather is not good.

I am a long time 32 Roadster/Harley owner ... but it was 60 degrees here in the South today and NO RAIN. :D I believe IF I was in Michigan, I could get a LOT more use ( fun  ) out of a Deuce sedan over a Deuce roadster. Forget about the whizzing match about original Henry Ford sedan VS Brookville roadster. IMHO ... it is not the most important thing. It is the body style ... that is more important. Now if you are comparing a Henry original 32 roadster to a repro Brookville ... Henry Rules ... :D :) :p

I do find it interesting that most of the folks who voted ROADSTER ... do not have a roadster in their avatar

Roadster. Wind in yer hair and all that other stuff. I guess the bottom line is who are you trying to please? The crowd, who won't be driving it, or yourself.

Its the snow in your face you have worry about in MI. The closed cars are just as KOOL and you can drive them longer in our short season.

I have built and finished 4 Henry sedans, 2 chopped highboys and 2 stock resto rods. Also built and finished 4 Brookville highboy roadsters. I would always take real Henry when I can get it. That aside I'm currently doing another Brookville roadster and a resto style Henry sedan delivery. You gotta build whatever gets your motor running.

I'm not a big roadster fan, so I'd take the sedan.

Being Brookville or original doesn't mean much to me.

Sedan vote here. Easy decision for me. Done right I like the looks of a 32 sedan better than a roadster. I also factor in I like old cars. You are choosing between an old car and a new car here. Michigan really is not a good roadster climate. You could put a heater in the sedan and drive it year round. Steve

Is it a tudor sedan or a fordor sedan? If it is the four door, I would take the roadster. Two doors on the sedan I would take the sedan and NOT chop it....run it full fendered....that's what I would do.

Why are you calling a brookville body a kit car?

2009 kit cars can be fun to drive, but it will never feel "right" like a 1932 Ford.
But then again, a lot of people can't tell the difference between cd's and vinyl.

my answer would be: a 32 chopped and channel Pontiac!

  20. If your truly going for a 40's look, it's gotta be a roadster, however with the Michigan weather a sedan may be more practical. We have real shitty weather here, I was still driving my coupe last week, my friends roadster has been parked for 3 months now.
Personally I would choose the roadster, because I love 40's style dry lakes roadsters and I have seen so many chopped and channeled sedans in the last couple years that I'm kind of sick of them, however a full fendered late 50's style sedan is still pretty cool.

Anybody can buy a Brookville, but you have to find a Ford Sedan. You will always be asked that question and with a Brookville your answer is always a little short. Sedan all the way.
When you finish the Sedan then sell it and put some more dough out and buy a '32 Roadster.

What is coolest of all, to have, drive, and enjoy, is to do your own.
I've never been tempted to build a replica. As for a steel car, it don't have to be Henry's. If I had a Deuce I'd sell it.

I have a topless car, bobber and a couple sedans, but you have to consider how you want and can use it. MN and MI don't have the weather thats favorable often times to brave the elements. I'm down to one bobber cause if it's nice I'm going topless in the hotrod and there is nothing like it. But need a sedan (modified of course) to enjoy a longer season and fit more people at times.
