It's better to start with a full version that can be printed for shirts or stickers first... then simplify the artwork to work for a plaque.

Something like this would be cool too...

Hey Nash... I dig the pistons/spade... remember that when they go to duplicate that in Aluminum they'll never be able to hit those dice or the small details and lines. Nice job!

Funny, because my sister drew our logo and she never gets online, and none of us had ever heard of the Hooligans when we started our club and came up with our logo

Our logo also has a piston and wrench.

And for Chadillac, this is how similar my club Junkyard Hooligans and that club Hooligans logos are:
    Our plaque:

I wasn't saying any of the artist are bad, I'm just saying let's give him something different. If I were the client I wouldn't want my logo mixed up with 30 other logos. I'd want something that stands out. It's only fair!

I have to agree with some of the other people though, you'll want those dice bigger so they can actually be translated in to plaque form when your plaques get casted. Designs as small as the dice can't really be done and look good, you have to make them a bit bigger.

Thanks man! Btw, I like your designs too, not one meh in my book.

    Thank you! :)

Great! Now, I'll try and get a properly vectorized version for machining by today but I'm going on vacation tomorrow and won't have a real net access unless I find a wi-fi cafe or something. Just saying in case there's some more tweaking you'd want...

EDIT: Scrap that, seems I can upload with the cell.

Hooligan63: ...was just about to point that out too. Making it bigger is not a problem. Just quite more work but I first wanted to get the right feel for the composition before tackling the bigger picture. That is the skewed the letter font, the SB has to be bolder and the smaller lines gotta get wider too, I know... anyway, thanks for the heads up...

I'd love to throw a couple ideas on but I have no clue how to accomplish this. I see a few nice ideas. I see a few common mistakes, designs look nice as a sketch, but I think this is to fit on a license plate sized area which is about 6"x12" and that rules out many of the layouts, unlessyou are willing to change your work area. Just my opinion...... If anyone thinks they could explain to me how to get a layout on here I'd like to throw out an idea or two...............

Plaques are not made to replace or be the size of a license plate. They are usually about 5x9 or 5x10, but can be any size or custom shape

Hope that you have a source for plaques - initial set up can be expensive
