Cool thread. I've got a glass '27, and have wanted to do a track car for some time.

Here's another Stillwater, MN T. It's kinda, sorta like a lakes-track roadster. FYI, those aren't the normal tires & wheels. I was doing some swaping around that day.

I built mine from an old Speedway body.....My taste has sure changed in the last 17 years.....If I built it today, I'd have to change the wheels and tires, the paint, add a belly pan, change the windshield etc........it would be quite a different car today.......I quite liked it back then, but couldn't get over the fact it wasn't steel.......

...got a bit more done this week and started making the radiator shroud or surround in aluminum also made the floor and fitted the body up to the chassis and made up all the bungs to fit the body to the chassis and put the new front crossmember in and started to work out the heights for the rear rails. Also started making up the tank in alli. Should be able to make up the firewall and steel out the body in the next few days or is that nights. Here are few photos and will post some more next week...

We landed a new nose for the roadster. This is the only one we found that would clear the Monster valve cover.

    Thanks 19-c. Hamb Brother.

    Classic!

Kevin, I saw that nose posted yesterday and thought it had a good look to it. Be sure to post pictures here once you get it mock up on the car.
