I was in the shop today experimenting. I had this Poncho hood ornament in my parts bin and the fit was perfect. So, what do you think ?

I think you are probably going to piss off some guy with a Pontiac that has been looking for one.

I'm with the crowd that says to make the truck part Pontiac to justify sporting it. It does look very cool, indeed!

  9. yeah it looks cool but here's another vote for a Pontiac mill under the hood

Pontiac was an Ottawa not an Apache. Big difference. Put a Pontiac engine in there and I can see it working...

When did the car design people start missing the mark? Hood bling that lights up should have never gone away!

    And I'd say you're an idiot.

Drop a poncho in that Chevrolet and try not to piss of the Pontiac gods any further..........they do like Chevrolet sacrifices. :D

BTW, how does any person just happen to have a light up Indian just hanging out in their parts bins?? All of my extra ones sit lovingly on my antique vanity until they can be bolted onto a Pontiac....but I had to beg, steal, and threaten years of non-stop yapping to get them. Lucky damn dog is what I think you are.:p

Oh and for those of you who say IT FITS........I bought one off a scrap metal bum, driving a late 80's Ford truck. It fit, but that didn't make it right! I did pull him over and buy it off of him for 5 bux. =O)

Looks great! Wire it up with the headlights and leave it as is.
An Apache with a Mexican blanket on the seat and a Pontiac hood ornament - perfect match.

You better have Blackfoot blood, or you are not allowed to drive in my neighborhood....:D

  21. You might piss off some Michigan Potawatomi Indians .
I never could figure what G.M. was thinking naming a Flint truck Apache?
I does look mighty cool tho . I say it is art appreciation.
    Leave it !

I guess that means everyone who's running Cadillac hupcaps or dagmars, Buick wire rims or side trim, Packard taillights, etc should be running those engines, or trannies, or something? Maybe they need to take all that crap off their cars unless or until they can "justify" running them.

All those worrying about "justifying" need to just screw off.

    Customizing is customizing.

ps - I'm NOT picking on swimeasy, his post had the magic word in it.

If you reckon that adding a Pontiac hood ornament makes something a Pontiac, then yes you are.

    Good to know.

Don't get me wrong, 58-59 Chevy pickups are my favorite, but I started in Late Greats......but I'm not gunna lie to myself either.

Buick wires were Kelsey Hayes, used on a ton of cars. And yes everyone should be driving a Buick.

I got another of those. They have been going for really crazty money on eBay and not even nice ones. I think I'll keep mine though. It looks great on your Apache. Hey, I also have a spare '36 Pontiac flathead six. How's that for different? Indian cars and bikes are cool - and very un-politcally correct, too.
