I think that earlier photo is Nanette Fabray. That would be Shelly's (Coach TV show and others) mom.

  5. Which pic are you referring to? I see Rita Hayworth, but Nanette Fabray??

According to IMDB, Shelly Fabares (pronounce Fabray) is Nanette's niece.
    Bio: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001193/bio

Shelly was quite the looker when on the Donna Reed Show. I remember when her song "Johnny Angel" was a hit.

This is the one I thought was Nanette Fabares--I know she changed it to Fabres later. I thought Shelly was her daughter for some reason. Saw "The Donna Reed Show" first time around. Hope I'm not wrong on the ID.

  16. That's Rita Hayworth - one of most popular pinup girls of WWII. She was gorgeous.

And yeah, I sure do remember the Donna Reed Show first-runs too. I think it was on, about the same years as "77 Sunset Strip" with Kookie Burns, and "Route 66" with Marty Milner and I can't recollect the other guy's name - what, early 60s? Back when network TV was worth watching.

I'm sure the caption comment was added without any mean intent. I hope!

Hopefully it was for a caption about how cool that convertable was, right?

    Right!
