My first 32 Ford. It was purple with a white tuck-n-roll interior, had '40 Ford rear, dropped axle in front, bobbed rear fenders and rolled rear pan, Studebaker V-8 with 39 Ford trans. Paid $1800 for it in 1972. Sold it to make a down payment on a house in 1976.
37 Chevy coupe...the 66 Hemi Plymouth..the Anglia...most of the 55 Chevys..one of the 56s..........I, like most here, regret trading/selling nearly all of them. Sittin' on a few now...63 and a 64 Fairlane Hdtp..64 Galaxie..64 Merc Marauder..a couple of Huppmobile hulks...and the 49/50/51 Ford that we are building for my wife. Mark
Bubba67...you know the one I wish I'd never sold...I think its in your garage at the present time......I cant show a photo however.....maybe you could post a photo for me to cry over...
Ya know I really wish I had that, oh crap look at that I need one of them. Shit I'M ON TO THE NEXT ONE.
1948 Chevy P/Up,1965 Mustang and the one that I miss the most,1970 Chevelle Super Sport,LS6 454,4 spd,12 bolt rear diff w/411 gears, cowl induction hood, full guages and an 8 track tape player radio! Had a lot of fun in that car and I am lucky to be still here when thinking about some of the stupid things I did in that car. And I don't have one single pic of any of these vehicles.
Not the most desirable of cars, but I really miss a '51 Plymouth that I cut up for parts in the late eighties. I've seen far worse cars get put back on the road.
I wish I had kept my first hot rod, 1932 Ford 5 window. This photo was taken in 1977.I had it 15 years and then tore it down for a rebuild. It sat there a couple of years so during a real brain fart,I sold it,although I always said it would never have another owner. The guy I sold it to never built it,just sat on it.But it turned out well, a HAMBer now has it and is doing it justice. If we just could have do-overs............
wbrw32, Don't worry Bob I'm doing my best to get you back behind the wheel of your old car as fast as I can. Here are two pics. Jim
32 Ford pu phantom extended cab custom rod with lower back half of sedan grafted to the cab like a ute.I built it from the ground up ,sold it to a guy in Pontiac Michigan,It was magenta and purple 2 tone. Anyone seen it? Wish I never sold that one.
first car when i was 11 was a 65 mustang, decent car .but the one i wish i still had was when i was 16 my 1968 pontiac gto, what fast car 400 400turbo , stock bench seat auto on column. wow the memories had it in high school. second was another i had when i was 18 1968 gto, had a 455 sd that i built only drove twice before a guy came and bought the motor. what can i say i was young and dumb at the time it was alot of $$ when your 18 . have herd the first gto is 15 miles from where i live but i havn't seen it. i do know it's aparently light blue. mabe when i hit the lotto i'll find it and buy it. sorry no pic's
when i was 15 i traded a 22 rifle for a 55 chevy rolling chassis and put a 57 merc engine and trans in it.my dad helped with drive shaft and motor mounts.it's amazing what a cutting torch and a welder can do,in the hands of a kid and his dad.
Lets see my 2 90 convertible dakotas (last i knew the black 2wd one is in texas) god knows where the hell the red 4x4 went. and my 65 mustang.. thats not even on US soil anymore. its somewhere in Germany :-(
not a HAMB car - but I still miss her - both kids came home from the Hospital in it - their first car ride!:
theres been a few girls I may have wish I kept but as for cars I'm happy with all the sales I've made so far
i don't realy want any of them back. if i hadn't sold the junk i had, i wouldn't have the junk i have!
An 1963 sunbeam alpine roadster we had in our back yard for the longest time. It would have be so sweet set up as a tiger optioned car, it already had a 9inch and the front suspension set up for a small block! Dad sold it for a grand.
1955 Belair 2 door H/T. It was supposed to be my first car. I was young and dumb and made a decision to go with something else. It was a complete car...all the trim... minimal rust... 327 was already in place.
I'm like Fab32, to many cars under the bridge. I'd like to have all the deuces I built lined up in the shop but marriages, kids, and economics did not allow that to happen. If I had my choice it would be the full fendered steel original bodied roadster that I built in the late 70s. Yellow with dark red interior, black top. Had a chance to buy it back and stupidly I passed. Then it would be the Black roadster that was the Rodders Journal poster car in 01 or 02 sitting in front of Old Glory. I'd like to buy that car back.
The one i miss the most is my 56 Dodge convertible. I had just gotten the paint done (a tan color) fresh scavenger pipes hanging out under the axles, nice rake on the rear end, and Cadillac hub caps, and buckskin brown leather interior. I hadn't had it more than two weeks after all this work was done, when, in the middle of thye night i heard a big bang, woke up, looked outside and seen a car T-Boned into the side of my car, It was stolen and they got away, back in the olden days i didn't carry alot of insurance and it wasn't covered. WROTE IT OFF Now I carry lots of insurance on all my old cars and trucks Painter 2
Toss up between the '52 Chevy gasser I built in the seventies & my '70 Cyclone Spoiler 4.30 super drag pack car
Bought a 39 Ford deluxe coupe to flip - sheetmetal on that car turned out to be dam near perfect. It had a hot flattie, perfect frame, all the chrome professionally polished, that really nice deep, dark green that looks almost black, LB interior, sounded and looked great. I flipped it to pay one semester's tuition and fees for the daughter - it was a really, really nice car. Even the wife wishes we had it back!
my 57 chevy conv got it when i was about 15 it was yellow fix it up painted it back when i was 17 then took it apart and rebuilt it when i was 19 my frist show car had it from 1962 to 1976 god i love that car
