Hey gang, The March issue of R&C features two shots of a Shoe Nygaard's 38 Plymouth coupe at the KKOA show. It appears to have a flattened dark purple metallic paint job. I'm dying to see a few more shots, and to know more about how the color and sheen was arrived at. It's a longshot, but what the hell. Anyone out there in the HAMB ether have pics or info? Thanks.
Bad*** car thats all I know!Seen it at that show and nice guy to talk to,I think Jeff Myers painted the car. Finked here on the H.A.M.B, Later Rob
finked has photos of the car on his albums on his profile along with other Kool cars he has worked on and or painted
Two replies and I've got a line on the guy who painted it. Damn this HAMB is the bomb. Thanks Okie pete and rob lee, and of course, Ryan Cochran.
That's one of the coolest customs around.Seems like it's been ignored.I would like to see more of it too.Shoes' the man.
Shoe is the Man funny *** MOFO!!! I took this shot when I was in Kansas its the only good one I got of it. I dig this car. LTR Dave Hitch
Jeff Myers rule!!! Im proud to call him my friend!!! He's currently chopping " ANOTHER" car for a fellow BEATNIK and it looks AWESOME!!! He's a madman!!!
Last christmas i CHOPPED the plymouth for shoe. And here it is one year later and this christmas i'm chopping a 52 fleetline for him.i love repeat customers. Maybe starting a new tradition . MERRY CHRISTMAS SHOE!
Cool stuff, looks like you did a lot of metal work on that 38? the 52 chop looks cool, gonna be *****in, nice work Jeff.
Shoe's Plymouth is awesome. I liked it before Jeff got ahold of it and was blown away with what he did. That fleetline will be really kool too. Liked hanging around and getting to see the work in progress. Thanks Jeff
Jeff thought I would resize your pics for ya. Oh yeah I noticed the top came down and the air left the tires? Thats awsome! C'ya Dave Hitch
Had a great exchange with Mr. Myers last night, then did a little follow-up reading from an R&C back issue where Jeff was heavily quoted on his suede painting technique. Thanks for being so forthcoming with the details of Shoe's paint, Jeff. It's people like you that make this blog such a tremendous resource for the rest of us.
Thought this needed a bump with alink to more pics of Jeff's work http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/11_car_photos/beautiful_custom_cars/jeff-myers-custom-cars/ Dave Hitch
greetings HAMB,im still new to all this hamb stuff but im gettin the hamb of it!!!!i was bored and i searched the forum for my car and low and behold i see all this. All i can say is im one lucky bastid. I cant thank Jeff enough for makin it all possible. Im proud to call him my Beatnik Brother. My plymouth gets driven all the time and people just trip out on it.You have to hear people insisting they had one just like it.Jeff and i drove it out to Santa Maria with McPhail and Bunni and comin back i told him i found the fleetline and got a great deal on it. I drove the chevy out to Salina and picked up my plymouth after Jeff did some final touches.I was laughin out loud jammin down the road blastin hank III all the way home to Koolsville.FBBF, Shoe
Man that Plymouth stopped me dead in my tracks at Salina. It is so hip to see Westergard style builds form the new young turks such as the great Jeff Meyers. Also great to have such a nice guy to boot, he is really a gentleman and easy to talk shop with. The new Chevy is lookin *** kickin as well. The only time Jeff says no, is when you ask him if he has built enough cool rides!! ~Sololobo~
Theres a bunch of that Jeff Meyers stuff in the R & C. at least 4 or 5 cars hes had a hand in on pg 35. Maybe on my next project i can get him to do more than install the rear window.
shoestik , is the man! thanks for letting me cut your cars up !! good seeing you down here duncan , stop by anytime.thanks for all the kind words, helps keep the insperation going !
