Thanks Ken, You have a killer collection of Mercury's! That would be great if you head East for some N/SS racing, I'm guessing your going to the York Reunion and Beaver Springs Dragway?

That top-less Comet in the far lane is Ed Rachanski's (sic) Super Marauder. It's one of the real factory-built A/FX'ers and yeah.......is a valuable car. Anyway, somewhere around 1980 or so (give or take a couple years in either direction), Hot Rod Magazine showed a photo of it in their Roddin' At Random column sitting in a corn field with it's original Halibrands still intact, roof welded back on, etc. I'll have to try and dig that up.

Does brent hajek own the Shartman car?If so does he ever take it anywhere?

What is suppose to be the official color of that car, sometimes it looks red and sometimes it looks burgandy?

Yep that's the car I saw at Columbus. Mr. Hajek used to bring several cars to the PFCA Expo.

Ken;in that photo of my Comet below Dyno's,look at the water running on my left tire, that was NOT fun!! I was in the left lane and the car headed for the wall, hit the brakes to bring the car down.I had pulled through the water, waiting to burnout when the car before me broke. They backed me up to get him and clean up then I pulled back through the water and did my burnout, obviously WAY too much water!!! YEEHAAA!!!! I have a couple of posters of Eddie's 65 and the Comet looks Burgandy.ROY.
