Hey thats cool! My brother rolled out with me to that Barrett Junction cruise with the boy's and took those picture's. That's really nice how you did that mixing of pic's.
don't think its on the grass it will be on the parking lot. they got to sections of the park so far. it will be $10 to get in the park and $10 to park in the MAJESTICS reserved sections dont know if there will be food but bring your grills gas only! should be a good day like always!
There are a few from Japan thtai havent seen here yet! The 56 leaves me speachless... And theres something about that GP hat makes me all silly too......
I think Galaxies make some of the best lowriders, along with the big body mercurys from the early 60's. I may be a little biased.
More from Japan... http://rod-n-kustom.blogzine.jp/photos/08_scn/ I'm trying to find a way to make it to the Street Car Nationals in Japan in May -Juan
Even more from Japan!!!!! Juan, when i discovered that site sum years ago i spent months checkin all Jap stuff out! It incredible how much they get it!! And their domestik stuff is as welcome and well done as their US cars, which aint always the case.(im kinda partial here ) Here are more of this years Old Memories Japan cc, pick nick: http://rod-n-kustom.blogzine.jp/photos/09_old_memories_picnic/index.html
I'd love to take in a show over there too, they get it. I agree, they definetly Get it! cool stuff over there, they nail the stance.
Haha. Thanks. It looks nicer in pictures. We're gonna juice it eventually. But it's on the backburner right now.
Daaaaang. Thats a nice shot. Never seen that one before. *rightclicksave* Thank you very much for the kind words my friend. I appreciate it.
Yeah, I think those are from the '08 Street Car Nats, Juan. Not 100% sure and the link didn't say, but the grounds look like it. Haha, that's the same show my pics are from. Funny thing is, I went to probably 10 or more shows last summer and pretty much everyone had killer lowriders. It's funny we both posted from the same show because there are a lot more out there. This was just the local Nagoya area and this show represented 20 or so car clubs-almost all in central Japan.
^^^Yeah it is, theres tons of stuff goin on there, i wish we had a scene like that in italy^^^ instead of the snob-scene we have! rant over. Anyway, post more Comet, they are more than welcome i seem to understand.... While we're at it, If that is only the Nagoya area stuff...how many lowrider clubs are there in Japan???? it seems like a lot!
[/QUOTE] Must agree, really neat ride, other than lifting it i wouldnt change a thing. But:..........not enuff 'flake, candy and angel hair to roll w/ the LBs J/K its a bitchin ride.
I just came across these pics in the thread,of my 68' coupe that I sold and shipped over there in 2001'.I don't think I like what they did to it. I guess even they fuck up once in a while those are skylark wires on it too.I had just put those on about a month before I sold it.those bullets caps look fucked!the pic where it's gold was just before I put the wires on it.
Sorry Laid but i dont see anything wrong really. Sure it could have better paint but that photo is about 4 years old at least anyway, so it might have a nice roof by now. Dont see anything wrong about Skylarks w/ bullets......pretty kool IMO. But of course japs also build shitty rides, not that often but they do. Its more the fact that the good ones are sooooo damn good.
loved the pics even if its not your style the body and paint work is amazing lot of super talented car guys out there it would be cool to start a thread were are they now love to see if these cars are around and what they look like now
IS there a official name for the club sign in the back window. And how high is the wording letters if you want to be 4 seperate lines.
Howard Gribble aka Kid Duece has quite a collection of old photos. I had the honor of interviewing him and photographing him for a future issue of Lowrider Magazine. His Flickr album is amazing and his has alot more photos that he has not scanned.
