Well I got many miles under my belt in a choped 40 pickup and seams like everyone is giving you good advice and one thing I would like to share is, Check your spare for air, lug wrench fits the lugs and the jack will get the car up and off the ground safely. Nothing worst then a flat on the car and one in the trunk.

Now CONGRATULATION on your new career @ Sakowski Motors and your new home

Drive safe. I'm headed from Houston to New Orleans myself on Thursday. I'll keep an eye out for you. I don't know what your plans are for NYE in the Big Easy but if you need some pointers feel free to PM me.

Blam is heading into Las Cruzes, New Mexico and needs an alignment.
Give me a call if anyone knows of an alignment shop that works on old cars. Then to Austin around Wed night.

If for some reason to make your way to Charlotte before you get to Wilmington you can count on a meal and a shower if you need it. That's awesome!!! Safe travels and happy new year!

I think Blam said he was trying to be in New Orleans for new years so that would be a good get together right there!

Let me start by saying thanks again to Kurtis and his family for taking me in for the night. I gotta say i'm a little jelous of the set up they got down there in Phoenix. Good weather, great dudes, cool cars, quite the set-up.
i'm changing up my plans a little bit, wasn't able to get an alignment here in Las Cruces, my pass. tie-rod is pretty gnarly, i was't able to get ahold of one before i left, i thought i'd be ok but my tires are looking pretty grim, so i'm gonna try and shoot for Austin sometime tomorrow and try and figure something out there, because it seems like there is a bit more going on there, in the car biz.

in the mean time here are some pics from earlier today, i can't get my Grand Canyon pictures to load for some reason but i'll post those as soon as i can.

    here is my traveling partner:

I talked to the old timer that lived here. Some old hippy biker dude, had some pretty cool stuff this old ford convertable, a 35 international p/u, 40 chevy, 28 chevy coupe, and a couple others.

56 Lincoln for sale on the side of the highway.

figured i'd keep this theme going.

here's one for the ladies, haha.

Well I ended up getting too sketched out to drive to Austin so I'm in el paso, at some grungey motel. I tried doing a little road side alignment but I don't think it's happenin, the little scissor Jack and lack of Jack stands or blocks got me a little scared to be hanging out under there for too long.

If anyone knows of any decent/affordable shops here who can hook me up with an alignment, let me know!

    Thanks,
    -Ryan

Hey man... I gotcha covered on this one. Blam's crashing at my house for the night here in Hutto, and my friend runs/owns a 1 man 50's style tire shop up in Georgetown. Cheapest rubber in Texas!

Sounds like he'll be at my place by around 1am-ish Thursday morning. I've got tools and we have a couple of alignment shops around here that can help if needed. My bro works at the Ford dealer in Georgetown if we need access to serious equipment and techs.

Lookin' forward to havin' ya Blam! Maggie too!

:Blam blew one of the new radials ON THE REAR of the car that were just put on by the tire shop! Just East of El Paso. He is on the side of The 10, can barely see the El Paso lights, wherever that puts him. All the tire stores are closed I think. He said some cool Hambers from El Paso are getting in touch, but just in case give a hand if you happen to be driving by on your way to Austin with a trailer ;)
