Got word this week that coverage of the Shakedown is set for Old Skool Rodz #40... plus another story about HAMB member InLawModelA's Fiat Topolino... Thanks to Gunner for the great coverage.

not sure Symco needs more coverage - the word of mouth on the show is really really positive - and that was with all that rain last year!

Looking forward to seeing the coverage though......

Symco Shakedown video coverage will be on an upcoming Vintage TOrque DVD as well........
have not even looked at the raw footage since the show so I have no clue how long the segment will be - but there HAS to be some good footage of the mini bike drags!

who did you have shooting the show?
who wrote the text for the article?

  8. John Gunnell wrote the story and I think he took his own pictures. The ones he took of the Fiat look great!

  11. Gunner is a great Guy . At Symco he also shot my 27 Track T and it is in the Current Milestone Hot rods Mag. as well as a submission to OSR for a future article. Gunner is true friend to all the Hot Rodders in the Frozen Tundra and certainly appears to have a real handle on the Shakedown.

  12. This year ought to be alot bigger than last year!

This came out on our local public access Time Warner Cable on demand this week. Dennis Oliver's interview is on there as well, but I had to cut it for the YouTube version cause the video was too long.

Issue #39 is out and in my READ pile. one month to go.

Til then, check out my latest project. TKWHEELS.COM. Some videos of local hot rodders and such. I have only another 70 episodes to upload, so you can watch them from the beginning(when tommy had a mullet) to the latest from the WOW last month.

Check out Cliffy and I Thursday night on Old Cars Weekly's "Webinar" at 7PM CST.

We'll be guests of OCW's editor Angelo VanBoogart as we talk about how to promote a successful car show. How they figured we'd know anything about that subject is beyond me...

We'll be on with Bill Miller from Carlisle Productions who put on all those big shows in PA.

    I THINK it's a "pay-per-view" deal... I'm getting more details later today.

    Web address is www.oldcarsweekly.com

I guess the rain from last year made it look like we knew what we were doing.

    7PM tonite @ www.oldcarsweekly.com...

It IS a $12.95 deal.... might be worth a listen if you are planning on holding a new event. ... wouldn't hurt to tap into the behind the scenes effort it takes to put on a show like Carlisle...

#40 hit my mailbox today. Page 24. Really good article with exception of a few typos. Paul, maybe the fame is going to your head. I see a nice pic of some fibergl*** beast with a funny paint job near the bottom of the page.

  28. Darn, I am at the mercy of Barnes & Noble. Thanks for the heads up, except now I won't be able to sleep.
