Hello everybody,
I haven´t been visit HAMB last 16months, but now we have so cold (minus 20dec celcius) and Im on holiday until 4th of January,... so good time to look old rod and drag pictures and messages.

Here I have some pictures my Hot Rod and Dragster.
I want to send all (trailer, dragster, rod) to California after 2010 summer.
Is there anybody who can give me place where to leave those cars?
I want to be first person from Finland who is racing in Bakersfield,... and want to drive all over with that combination or with hot rod separately.

I have been living 2 winter in Culver city and Pomona (2003-2005) and california feel more like home.

Hot Rod
Steel car. Chopped 5" and I have welded over 4 squaremeter new steel.
´64 409cid (425hp), Muncie 21 tranny + 39 Ford axle with quick change and Ford 9" axles. Lincoln brakes, F1 steering,,....used. Took 2100hours to built car and now I have drove 3summer total 65000km (= 40 000miles).

Dragster
I found dragster (racing junk.com) 2008 september and bought it by phone. Dan Tuttle made 1967 FED, 156" wheelbase. Rollcage is new (NHRA inspected 2004) and I made some repair and fixing with frame and technical. New shortblock, tranny, wheeliebar etc. ring and pinion was not good (5,43) and I try to compensite it to change new as high as possible tires. Still problem with it and runs only 8,7sec ET. Now I have 4,10 ring and pinion and will goes next summer high 7sec ET´s.

I have been racing in Sweden (svda.se) vintage races and this field of drag racing is going foward here in North-Europe. Sad but we do not have salt lakes,.... We have in Finland over 50 000 lakes but mostly these lakes are froozen ! heh.

Trailer I weld old style. Hot Rod and Dragster are 60´s style stuff and I tried to get same outlook like boys had 60´s with pick up´s and dragsters,... 30 decrees angle,..... of course I had one more reason too.
Ferry tickets between Finland and Sweden are very expensive if total lenght is over 8meters! Now its only 7,7meters and leaves more money to have fun with hobbies than eat ferrycompany.

NB. There was one "big name" racing also. Harlan Thompson + 70´s nitro funnycar was great to see on the track, again.

I know some Hambers may not like it because it is too new but, 1970 was a time when Detroit was building incredible hot rods!
Gosh, what we would all do to go back in time to 1970 to buy a new car!
