i'll explain what i mean, me-when i see a car i'm interested in, or even one that i'd like to just look at for the sake of taking it in, i find that if it has late model high-back seats in it, i'll just stop looking at it.

to me it's like you've stolen the cars sole. nothing worse than seeing a nice early 40's coupe that has everything going for it, then you open the doors and see leather power buckets..........

    maybe it's just me.

what do you guys hate to see on an otherwise great car??

    (besides wheels and tires!)

I too hate the tilt column, bucket seats, console etc., but generally the biggest turnoff for a project (from bad experience) is taking over someone elses project if its in pieces and obvious stuff is missing.

Having to redo things poorly done by someone else when half of the pieces are missing is expensive and a pain in the ass if you don't have access to a parts car.

Over stuffed clothe seats from a late '70's or '80's car.

    Diamond tucked interior.

20" ghetto wheels with low profile wheels.

  16. cut open dashes (always metal) for headunit adds, wiring hanging down from the dash, pictures of the car with trash, stored parts or generally using it as a road commode, but by far is unoriginal front seats , ive driven hundreds of miles for a correct bench seat....

Ithink stance is a very important factor in presenting a vehical, and this is acheived by wheels, tires, and suspension.

A "check" car. When you look at the car, everything has been ordered by catalog or magazine and the guy wrote a check to have someone else bolt it all together.

While I'm at it. The other day I saw a magazine titled " How to build a street rod". It should have been called " Here's a list of vendors that paid us, now go buy their crap and you should be able to bolt it all together - good luck"

The wrong wheels on a vehicle will completely kill it for me. Also not a fan of a new interior in an old ride. I absolutely hate those gaudy billet wing steering wheels.

If there is something I dont like about a car the price should be cheap enough to where I can fix it or change it to suit me.
