Matt Seret (Seret Speed & Custom) and I have been back on the Legion Special. I know, I haven't made any updates in a while, but there is one coming in the next couple days about making the ****-cast E&Js from eBay usable.

Thanks to Crafty-B for rushing the raw mounts out to us, and thanks to Steve's Auto Restoration for the killer service and top notch repro lenses!

I just had to post a couple shots from tonight because we are so stoked on how it looks with the headlights.

No they're not aimed yet. Yes all the front aluminum and grille insert are just sitting on there for our quick mock-up.

The new deadline is DRIVING down to Del Mar for Goodguys in April, which may even be fodder for a new TV show....ssshhhhhhhhhh...you didn't hear it from me.

We're also back to thinking about leaving all the polished aluminum exposed, silver painted "****pit", black frame and suspension, small tasty red numbers ala early Mercedes etc.

Oh, and you'll notice the windshield template's in place too.

Next week it gets blown apart and **** heads for nickel plating, sandblasting, paint booth etc.

    Anyway, here it is...

I'll add these for those who haven't seen the whole car.

Looking great! Best use of those headlights I've ever seen. I usually hate those headlights, this is the first time I've seen them on something and liked them. Keep up the good work.

  4. Nice....really different. Was wondering how progress was going, thanks for the update Kirk

  7. I love it! everything looks awesome, and I like the idea for the overall finish too.

I know you're not an indoor show guy....but I'm just thinking out loud, that the Legion Special would look pretty sweet as part of a potential Inland Emperors' display at the 2011 G.N.R.S?

I agree also, best use ever.
Most times they look like a second thought....
But here they flow with the car...

if there was a top ten of hambers rides, this would be up there.

That's bad *** for sure. I agree with putting an arch in the windscreen.

*****in car...one more vote for the bare aluminum finish, Kirk...kinda reminds me of the Zach Suhr roadster.

ps...what about dirt trackers on the back?
